The final webisode of the series begins with Angela telling Dwight about the investigation behind closed doors. She suspects Michael, but Dwight, ever the loyal subordinate, defends Michael and says that Meredith or Creed likely had something to do with the missing $3,000.

However, Angela is still suspicious of Michael, and even accuses Dwight of hiding something. Dwight further defends Michael and uses the "You can't handle the truth!" line from A Few Good Men to prove his point.

Suddenly, Oscar and Kevin make a startling discovery--the missing money is in Angela's books! It turns out she made an accounting error. The guys mention it to her, but Angela says that she couldn't possibly have done it. When they show her the evidence, she sloughs it off by saying "Very well" and then gets back to work. Her colleagues, especially Kevin, are quite pleased that they caught Angela making an error. In fact, Kevin says it's "the best day of my life." Obviously, he has to get out more.

The length of the entire webisode series was about equal to one television episode, but stretching this story line out over the entire summer left me a bit flat, IMHO. I guess I was expecting more laugh-out loud moments, but if the producers wanted to keep viewers somewhat interested in the show until the new season, it seems they have succeeded. I certainly can't wait until September 21.
