It seems like just yesterday that Marcia Cross was telling Oprah that she needed a boyfriend. Now she's married... and pregnant (my math shows the marriage happened first). Her publicist confirms that she's due in April. That will definitely conflict with this season's shooting schedule. I wonder if they'll strategically place pillows and shrubs in front of her belly or if Bree Van de Kamp will get pregnant? What do you think? Should they write in the pregnancy or ignore it?

I don't think I'd like a pregnant Bree. She's got so much going on already. All of her current drama + pregnancy hormones = her suicide in the season finale.
Please don't make her real. I like Bree as the ice princess--above it all. She's the other girls' rock, for the most part. If not her...who?

I don't know, it might be interesting if it were feasible for Bree to be pregnant in terms of the show. It would be Bree determined that this child would be perfect.
I'm not generally a fan of hiding a pregnancy on a show where it's feasible and in the context of the story to have the character be pregnant. You may remember a show called "Major Dad" with Gerald McRaney. They had done an episode in which the Major and his wife were discussing having a child of their own (the kids on the shows were hers by a previous marriage). Then Shanna Reed, the actress playing his wife, got pregnant in real life, but instead of writing the pregnancy into the show (which would have been a logical step) it was sofa and cushions time.

I think it would be great if Bree agrees to be a surrogate mother for Eva Langora's character. It would make her feel renewed and validated as a woman and nurturer and keep her off the wine. It would be a very interesting turn of events and mind blowing for her children. Bree would be in her own little heaven. Then she would have to contend with actual fact of carrying the big big baby boy. When the baby was born she would be so self satisfied to turn the baby over to the happy couple and oh so glad the pregnancy ordeal was over. What fun!

Wow! Just think what a great story line!! Bree is such a perfectionist and everything has to be done by the books. I think it would really shake things up, she is always preaching to her children things have to be perfect and look perfect.

I think they ought to write it in and shake up her "control" with a kid. Film the birth.... c'mon... step out of the box on this one!

Making Bree a surrogate for Langora's character is a stroke of genius! Killing 2 birds with one stone. It rocks!

I think ABSOLUTELY the pregnancy should be brought into the series. I'm not a "writer" so I'll depend on them (the writers) for how they consider appropriate to handle it.

I think it should definaitely be written in. The surragacy thing would work and would just suit Bree's goody two shoes charcter. Has Rex been dead too long for it to be his and she'd just been through so much hellishness she didn't realize or thought it was peri-menapause? Then she'd have a piece of Rex to start anew. Just don't cover it up with couches and all kinds of crap.

I think having Bree pregnant would be great. It would shake things up yes, but at the same time she could be thinking that with this child things could be different. What I mean is this child would be raised differently than the other ones. The great all american dream this time I will get it right.

i think that caleb should get revenge for his brothers death by raping bree and then she would not be able to get rid of the baby because of the type person that she is and she would have caleb's baby the only thing is I LOVE BREE and wouldnt want to see her go thru that but the could leed your mind in that direction then just pick it up after she is in the hospital

I think you outght to hire Leni as a writer--what a great idea the surrogacy line would be--just think of it--her sphere of influence would extend in an ever-expanding direction, the new baby, how the parents are raising it. . . .

I think Bree should get pregnant and have it be the pharmacist baby from when he drugged her that night at the hotel.

Yes, I think Bree's pregnancy should be included in the script somehow. It would be really exciting. All kinds of things could happen; so many twists and turns to make the show even more exciting and even humerous at times. Also, they would not have to hide Bree's expanding midsection in the episodes; she can be her real self.

are you all crazy? Bree didn't even have a boyfriend at the end of last season so who is the father and Carlos is dead but he could have gotten Gabby pregnant before going to prison again.

This sort of post always cracks me up!!!!
Never watch a show, but let's go check out a 'program note' then respond to a message board about the fact that I never watch the show... what fun that will be... for about 3 seconds of my sad lonely little life!
LOL!!
that said, having never watched Desperate Housewives, I could care less what they do with Bree
:-)
HAHA!!
