According to TV Week, NBC plans on showing all of its fall pilots on its cable networks after they air. USA will show the network's dramatic pilots for an entire week at 11 PM, Sci Fi will show Heroes, and Bravo will show 30 Rock and Studio 60. I would imagine that these networks might also show the second runs of each episode, but those deals haven't been announced yet.

How in the world is this helpful to NBC. Now there is no reason to watch for these programs when they premier since you can catch them later on cable. Not to mention getting it online...
NBC has earned it's fourth place rating and this won't help.

Cross777, it's all about the second chance. NBC doesn't want you to sit out "Studio 60" or "Kidnapped" or whatever just because you had somewhere to be the night the premiere aired.
"Lost" did this two years ago, replaying the pilot the Saturday after the premiere. Two weeks ago, Fox showed the pilot of "Vanished" the night after it aired.

Sci-Fi really needs to stick to Sci-Fi. They are straying so far from Sci-Fi (Wrestling, Law & Order, Heroes) that it may be impossible to get back the fans they are losing.

Fox did this with 24 for a whole season, airing it on FX the following Sunday (?) after it aired on the network. It was a good idea which worked well for a show like that, and I'm surprised other networks didn't do this sooner.
