When The Colbert Report premiered in So it's no surprise that the folks at Global Language Monitor have found that not one, but two terms introduced on the Report have become the most buzzworthy TV terms in 2006, so buzzworthy that they've infiltrated the English language. One of them is a layup: "truthiness." But it seems like, in the span of less than a month, the term "Wikiality" has also become extremely buzzworthy. Also on the list of buzzworthy terms: "Dr. McDreamy," "Katie," "Katrina," and "Bush's War."

I remember watching the first couple of weeks of THE COLBERT REPORT. Stephen seemed nervous, uneasy, and his delivery was "off" at times. Oh, but look at him now. He has nailed his "character" down now. And the show is now consistently funny. THE DAILY SHOW is still top dog, though. Jon Stewart is the best.

1. The American Dialetc Society votes "truthiness" as 2005's word of the year
2. The White House Correspondents Dinner
3. Time Magazine's 100 most infuential people
4. The Emmy nominations (Barry Manilow... oy veh!!)
Pretty good year overall for Stephen Colbert and company. For me The Colbert Report was the smartest show on TV since day one and I never miss an episode. I've always liked The Daily Show (with Jon Stewart), but I'm fanatical about the Colbert Report.
