According to The Smoking Gun, American Idol winner Taylor Hicks filed a lawsuit against a former Nashville music producer who is selling Hicks' older songs on iTunes. The songs are from 2001, when Taylor tried and failed to get music labels to pick him up. The producer, William Smith, reportedly sent an e-mail to Hicks' lawyers letting them know that he was planning to market a few of his old songs on iTunes and that "anything in his past that would reflect negatively upon him will stay there". Smith also mentioned that he has turned down five-figure offers from tabloids to talk about Taylor's sexuality and (alleged) past drug use. Sounds like a threat, eh? Hicks and his lawyers thought so, too. A judge signed a temporary restraining order, barring Smith from selling the old songs on iTunes.Taylor Hicks sues over old iTunes releases

I understand the itunes thing, but who cares about his sexuality? Is there something I missed? Did he commit some sort of faux pax, like say he was a BIG MO or something?

Who would buy his music? 600,000 physical and download sales of Do I Make You Proud, for starters. That's who.

What is up with the constipated pose in the photo? I see why the Enquirer is interested in Hicks sexuality. If those are songs that failed to get Hicks a record contract, no wonder he is suing. Imagine, he has released some songs worse then his Ford commercial and Do I Make You Puke? Love when his Fool patrol brags about 600,000 sales but meanwhile over 30 million watch the show. That means at the very least 29.4 million aren't Hick fans.

WHY ARE WE EVEN TALKING ABOUT TAYLOR HICKS ... CAN'T WE JUST LET HIM DRIFT OFF INTO THE LAND OF FORGOTTEN SINGERS NEVER TO BE HEARD FROM (PLEASE LET'S NOT HEAR FROM HIM!) AGAIN????
HE IS JUST ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF "VOTE FOR THE WORST" MAKING THE LARGEST IMPACT ON THE VOTING PROCESS WHEN IT COMES TO AMERICAN IDOL.
