Despite yesterday's report in the LA Times, Saturday Night Live actor Horatio Sanz says he's still a member of the cast. He tells the Chicago Sun-Times that he doesn't know "what the hell is going on" but he has no reason to believe he's out of a job. The LA Times says that Sanz, Kenan Thompson, and Chris Parnell are out. But, TMZ.com says it's Sanz and Will Forte who are cut from the show. (Will says he's staying, too) And the New York Post says Maya Rudolph is considering leaving the show.Lorne Michaels had better speak up soon.

Sounds to me like the writing is on the wall... get rid of Sanz! He's not funny.

I agree, MrsEldubya. The only person who thinks Horatio Sanz is funny is Horatio Sanz.

Count me three. The only other person who thought Horatio Sanz was funny, besides Horatio Sanz, was Jimmy Fallon, and he's gone, too.
I hope the rumor's true, and Sanz is just trying to do damage control. Because here I went getting my hopes up...

No way! Sanz is hilarious and totally underrated!
Just the thought of him in bits like the one where he's running around screaming, knocking over furniture and carrying on, "My parents were eaten by a BEAR!" is enough to get me laughing. It's a classic example of a sketch that could have been flat and lame were it not for Horatio's manic delivery (he was practically channeling Belushi!)
Unfortunately, he hasn't been given enough material - good or bad - to properly demonstrate his talents.

This is going to be the Star Jones debacle of SNL, isn't it?

Weekend Update was the best ever with Tina Fey & whoever sat next to her. Horatio's crack ups made me laugh when I watched. And Chris Parnell is a highly underrated player. I'm sad that we aren't going to recognize many faces this year!

SNL would be better SANS SANZ... Darrell Hammond is the GLUE of the show as was Phil Hartman. Now that Tina and Racheal are gone they need him now more than ever. Sandberg is the one I can't stand. Bill Hader and Kristen Wigg are my new favorites. Hader needs alot more tube time. Poehler was a waste on Update. She is a great comedic actress with imagination, what was she doing reading the news? Poehler needs to do characters. She is the funniest person on now. Sudekis will be wasted on the news too. Update should be Seth Meyers and Kristen Wigg. His anderson Cooper delivery fits right in with Update. Hader needs to be groomed to follow the paths of Hammond and Hartman. Sandberg needs to get on a sitcom for nine years... whatever keeps him out of SNL or movies. I wish him success as long as I don't have to watch him.

I still think that comics must sit down and cry when they receive an invitation to be a regular on SNL.
"Oh god... My career is over."

OK, so Horatio Sanz wasn't that great at first — but he's great now. Would love to see him stay on. Even if he leaves, he's got a great history on the show.

Poehler is terrible as is Will Forte. I would be thrilled if they both got their walking papers. I LOVE Sanz and Parnell. I think they definately need to keep them around.

I watched SNL when it started and for about the first 10 years. It hasn't been funny since then, period. Lorne Michaels wouldn't know what's funny if it was staring him in the face. Bag that show and bury it, it's dead and it stinks. Sanz in particular is the least entertaining/amusing person on the show.
