Remember Page Kennedy, the first guy to play Caleb, the imprisoned son of Betty Applewhite on Desperate Housewives, then fired for some sort of "improper" act or remark on the set? He's now on the Showtime show Weeds, whose new season starts tonight at 9 with two episodes. He'll play U-Turn, a drug dealer who poses a problem for Mary Louise Parker and gang.
Kennedy doesn't want to talk about what happened over at ABC, but for the record, he says that the tabloids got it all wrong.

The new season started last week. They've changed the opening song. It's now sung by Elvis Costello.

You're partially correct. The theme song will be done by a different artist each episode.
Season 1: Malvina Reynolds (original)
Season 2 (in no particular order): Elvis Costello, Death Cab For Cutie, the Submarines, Jenny Lewis, Regina Spektor, Ozomatli, Aidan Hawken, MacGarrigle sisters, Engelbert Humperdink.

Right you are. Interesting idea, that - - to rotate performances of the theme music opening. "Death Cab For Cutie's" group treatment was a nice change.
I don't know why this show doesn't get more ink. The writing is wickedly creative and the cast spot-on perfect.
Mary Louise Parker's performance choices are always unique and effective. Besides the talent, she gets this year's Ellen Barkin "Sensuality-is-simply-something-you're-born-with" award.
