This season's premiere of Dog the Bounty Hunter had Dog and his crew flying to San Francisco to capture a suspected drug dealer named Samu Savea who had been eluding them for years. He was rumored to be playing on a semi-professional football team called the Daly City Renegades. Dog's team staked out the practice field, and spotted one player who they thought was Savea, but was actually Simaile "Cisco" Lutu, a nightclub promoter. Dog's son Leland was the first to approach Lutu, but it was soon revealed he wasn't the man they were after. Now Lutu has filed a lawsuit against Dog and his bail bonds company. He claims he was handcuffed and held at gunpoint by police officers on two separate occasions following his encounter with Dog.
I actually saw the episode in question, and what puzzles me is that the lawsuit claims Lutu asked not to have his image shown on television. That may be true, but during the scene on the practice field he was doing everything he could to be seen on camera, and so did many of his teammates. At the time, it appeared that he was absolutely enthralled with the idea of being the center of attention on a popular reality program. Dog also says that Lutu called him after the show aired and thanked him because all the girls loved seeing him. It will be interesting to see if this lawsuit actually goes anywhere.

I saw this episode also, I guess then the next time that a bounty hunter or a police officer asks if you know where someone is or tells you that someone is wanted then you had better start talking, what goes around comes around. Meaning you didn't want to help out then this is what happens. This idiot is just out for some fast cash he sees $$$$$$.

I saw this episode too and quite frankly Dog should be the one suing these ignorant punks & the coach for trying to help a FUJITIVE.
This Lutu person doesn't have a leg to stand on.

Hey, No problem for Dog or his possee. We (the family, including my grandson Rohan) watched that episode and the guy and his pals were happy at the time to get to meet Dog and all. They are just unhappy now that the coach got in trouble and maybe were pals with the guy, Samu. So want to get even with Dog for them in anyway possible and money is a good way they think. But too many saw that program for them to win a dime. So keep up the good work Dog.

Although none of the comments posted so far are worth responding to (can't rationalize with imbeciles), people should still remember that the guy suing Dog was held at gunpoint and arrested simply because Dog and his "posse" can manipulate cops into harassing innocent people just so they can be on TV. Would you be so quick to defend Dog if it happened to you or someone you knew?

Dog and his team are a little too weird for me. I, an attorney, do not believe they would last six months in Memphis without a serious incident where one of them has to be killed due to stupid behavior and poor judgment. I do enoy their outfits, hair, and dog's prayers and advice giving.

is there a law that requires you to cooperate with a bounty hunters investigation? are you bound by law to answer questions from a interrogative bounty hunter? if he came to you and asked you were one of your friends were, would you give them up or would you tell him a line of sht. people please, these guys are a bunch of testosterone junkies who think they have as much power as cops. i am glad that this guy and his "posse" got what was coming to them b/c seriously....they stepped out of US protection when they went to mexico to bring this guy back, and when you are in another country, you abide by their laws.

Yes Brooke, Leland is very hot. I saw the episode mentioned and all of those guys were lying through their teeth and posing at the same time. For everyone that thinks Dog and the Posse were wrong, that's exactly why we can't get rid of certain politicians. Some people love those who are dishonest and lie. Please!!! This law suit is scurriless and will disappear over time. Enough!

yes Jomar, I believe it is against the law the harbor a fugitive (lying about his/her whereabout I think would be harboring). I believe that then makes you an accessory to a crime. I could be wrong, but I don't think so. As for Mexico...How in the world can you call Dog, Youngblood and Leland testosterone junkies when they aided in bringing a very serious offender to justice? Good grief what if it had been a member of your family that Luster had harmed...would you feel the same? I WILL go on to say that they should have shown up for the hearing etc. but then we don't know the whole story, do we??? Paul, it appears to me that Dog and the posse use very good judgement in all their actions as far as thinking ahead before acting. Just out of curiosity, why would Memphis be any different?

the respondants to elf if the mexican govt comes to us to pursuit a mexican citizen (good) we have a lot of extra mexicans. please take them back. they would be doing the us govt a great favor. if a mexican breaks the law in say texas or any state and the are arrested in georgia. the police will call texas and ask if they will come and get the prioner. they will say no or anyother state they will just let the prioner go if he is wanted in another state. but if it was a us citizen prioner you can bet they will come and get them. what dog is doing is a great thing. the judges that put the bail so high on dogs, if he had a daughter that was raped by luster and dog went and to mexico and brought him back. how would the judge feel. what would you do if this was your daughter that was raped. i know how i would feel i would be by dogs side to get this person that hurt my daughter. and the us govt would save a lot of money on this person. as you say dog is a FREAKING CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATE SO US STAND BEHINE OUR CITIZEN. the mexican govt should thank dog for getting luster out of mexico.

We are praying for Duane "Dog" Chapman and his family.
When Dog and his team took this preditor (Andrew Luster) off the street, justice was served to the world, now doing the right thing has cost him ,his team and family for doing something right and just.
Where is Justice for Dog and his team when he needs it? It's ok Dog and his team did a great deed for our country but what can our country do for him?
We stand by Dog and his team and hope and pray the system will not fail The Chapman's.
Taking Andrew Luster off the street saved a lot of lives and sanity and this should not be forgotten.
Luster could have harmed one of their children or someone they care about.........how would they have handled that?
Those who critize Dog and team...About the Mexican Law>>OK...how many times have you done something because you knew it was the right thing to do? OK.....nothing more to be said!!
Dog and team are right in what they did....
