The trend of putting my childhood in versatile digital form continues with the upcoming release of The Gummi Bears on DVD. The three-disc set, which comes out on November 14, will include episodes from the first three seasons. It's been ages since I've seen this cartoon, but I remember loving it when I was a kid, and I still get that damn theme song stuck in my head from time to time. The series, which as far as I remember really had nothing to do with the candy of the same name, centered on a group of magical bears in the Middle Ages who got into wacky adventures and drank a substance called "gummiberry juice" that made them bounce around. Erica: yes DW is out on DVD.
Now that almost all of the Disney Afternoon is on DVD warner brothers just needs to put Tiny Toons and Animaniacs on DVD as well. Pinky and the brain has already been release so it can't be too far behind.
