The Daily Show"Terrour Plot": Senior Carryonologist John Oliver elaborated on the foiled terrorist plot over in England, live from Heathrow Airport. He contemplated the degree of seriousness in the airport security's new "no liquids" rule. Is yogurt a liquid? What about custard? And 75% of the human body?! John Oliver's fitting in pretty well. I wonder if he's going to do filmed reports any time soon. It'd be interesting to see what those are like.

"War on Terre Haute": Dan Bakkedahl traveled to Indiana to explore why the Department of Homeland Security deemed the state to have surprisingly more possible terrorist-targets than New York or California. It was an okay report... Watching Bakkedahl rollerskate in tiny shorts was more than I needed to see.

Jon said that he wanted to talk about Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, but before he could get started, the entire audience started screaming like CRAZY. I thought that was kind of silly because, seriously, who gives a shit about the crazy couple anymore? But then I saw that Stephen Colbert had suddenly appeared and was sitting on the opposite end of Jon's desk and I, honestly, almost tipped my chair backwards in shock. Just from seeing Jon and Stephen next to each other again, I realized how much I've missed their real in-studio moments. Anyway, Stephen had stopped by to see if Jon had apologized to Geraldo Rivera yet (a reference to the previous night's Jon/Stephen toss). Stephen was fully in-character but, as he "defended" Rivera and O'Reilly, he managed to address the issue head-on: "What're you implying, Jon? That Geraldo and O'Reilly are narcissists enthralled at their own overblown egos, projecting their own petty insecurities onto the world around them, inventing false enemies for the sole purpose of bolstering their sense of self-importance, itty-bitty Nixons minus the relevence or a hint of vision? HOW DARE YOU?!" (I think he said "Nixons"...) It was amazing. And I love how Jon always sounds so inferior and nervous whenever character-Stephen is talking to him. And the fact that Stephen put Jon On Notice also killed me. Goodness, how's Jon gonna get himself out of that one? If you love Jon/Stephen moments as much as I do, you've got to check out the clip...

The night's guest was racing star Dale Earnhardt, Jr. The poor guy had to follow Stephen's act. Hell, I was still reeling from Stephen's appearance, so I could barely concentrate on Dale. From what I did see, I noticed that Dale's not that great with talk show appearances. He just sat there, smiling, and swiveling in his little chair.

Jon/Stephen: Stephen sat in the TDS studio AND the Colbert Report studio. The amazing thing was, the Stephen in the TDS studio, sitting right next to Jon, was the pre-taped one. When Stephen crawled under Jon's desk to hide, I couldn't help but think of his Harvey Birdman character, Phil Ken Sebben... "Mmmmultiple entendre!" Dozens of fangirls died during this segment. Jon/Stephen lovers were quick to put this to YouTube...

Moment of Zen: The skinhead brawl from an 1988 episode of Geraldo that left Mr. Rivera with a broken nose.
