(S04E15) Tonight's episode showcases the fiendish machinations of James the snake. He's none too broken up about having Kaysar on the block although he tries to act at least a little bummed whenever his faux alliance from Season Six is around, it's a thin ruse at best. Kaysar meanwhile campaigns for votes in his own way. Most people beg, plead and lie, Kaysar just asks. Kaysar's best hope, whether he knows it or not, is Chilltown's inveterate love of stirring things up for the sake of watching people scramble.Unfortunately while everyone loves Kaysar they don't hesitate to show him the door. Once he is out of the house, the Chenbot reveals that James is in a secret alliance and has conspired against him and said some horrible things about Janelle. The video goodbyes aren't exactly sweet either especially from James whose vindictive farewell is nothing short of vitriolic. Chilltown at least recognizes it is a game, James is just plain ugly. As Kaysar says, he isn't made for this game. But I sure will miss seeing him around the house.
The HoH competition involves the questions based on the "Big Brother seance" which involved "ghostly" visits from past houseguests. Erika wins which should be good news for the Legion of Doom because she's clearly malleable and possibly in league with Boogie. The houseguests are told of the new mysterious power that they will be competing for. The power is the coup d'etat which lets a houseguest nullify a nomination and put someone else up right before a vote. Too bad they didn't do this last week to save Kaysar.
It seems that Dr. Botox has gone from complaining bitterly and begging to go home to actually trying to play this game. I wonder if this is because Boogie's eye has been wandering toward other alliance partners. More likely this was the strategy all along. The creation of the "Legion of Doom" was a brilliant distraction, giving them a pair of scheming companions to pin all their machinations upon later on.
Last season it seemed that Kaysar, Janelle and Howie were just the victims of bad luck in the house. This year is showing that it wasn't so much that. They had the numbers going in but a series of bad decisions may lead to their decimation. Janelle can win competitions but can't seem to strategize effectively and Howie is no big help there. It seems she needs a deus ex machina, perhaps in the form of a coup d'etat. Over on Jackie's blog, a commenter floated the idea of the coup d'etat competition involving a past house guest being able to win their way into the house. It's an interesting idea, something has to happen because watching James have any sort of power is very unappetizing to me.
UPDATE: Per Jackie's blog due to a malfunction with the HoH competition, they redid the competition and there is a new HoH. Head over to Jackie for all the spoileriffic news. That whole deus ex machina thing I was hoping for last night pretty much happened...

I can't blame James for jumping ship to chilltown. Like he said, for 4 weeks he did everything his alliance wanted to, even if he felt it was against their best interest. His group wanted floaters, so he put one up, when George got PoV, he was going to put up someone in chilltown, but Janelle insisted that he put up Jase because she felt threatened by him, even though by doing so James had to break his promise not to back door Jase.
James did this with the understanding that Janelle respect his wishes if she ever won HoH. When the time came, not only did Janelle ignore Howie and James pleas to put up chilltown, but Janelle wound up lying to them and made a deal with chilltown and saved Boogie in the veto competition.
Now there is nothing wrong with Janelle setting up a deal to save herself as there is only one winner in this game, but don't be surprised that someone in your alliance is going to do the same. As the final votes proved, James was at the bottom of the season six pecking order since Janelle and Howie both voted to save Kayar. You gotta do what you gotta do to stay another week.
I don't know why James is being singled out as a snake when everyone in the house, with the exception of Kaysar, George and maybe Howie, since he usually does anything Janelle asks, is just as much a snake and you know what? That's a good thing. I would rather see sneaky alliances and brilliant strategy over boring "friendship" like alliances where you can predict who is going to leave the second one of them with HoH.

Because of technical difficulties, the HoH competition was redone. Erika is no longer HoH; Janelle is the new HoH.

James jumped ship before going into the house. He called Mike, Will and Dani before they started. That's the problem with All-Star Reality shows, they know each other already and we know them all too well. It just doesn't make for good television, reunion shows maybe but not competitions.
I like how BB doesn't want to let you know Erica and Mike are dating on the outside of the house or at least that's what I read over on Jackie's Blog. They jokingly call it a showmance but it might be more than that and that could be Mike's secret alliance that Will is worried about. Will should stick with Janelle, she can win the competitions and he can do the thinking.
I find reading up on BB is more interesting than watching the shows.

I like Kaysar, but he's absolutely right, he has too much personal honour to succeed on this show. He would be spectacular on "The Amazing Race" though.

Last season I felt cheated when Kaysar got kicked out....both times.
This season I wasn't happy to see him go, but I wasn't bothered. I still think Janie screwed the alliance before James actually did, but I think James is just as low as Janie is at this point.
