(S02E12) On Big Brother, much of the talk is of getting rid of the "floaters" who are just coasting along. The same is necessary for Rock Star and tonight Supernova took another step in that direction. After all, the surviving contestants tonight get to go to Vegas and not everyone there is Vegas worthy. Check out Dave Navarro's blog, even he is getting restless. And so the double elimination is no suprise but who goes is.Supernova choses a double encore giving one nod to Lukas. I adore him but those from below camera angles showcase his height (or total lack thereof). They also give one to Magni with the orders that he play with the band this time. I think that Jason is a big fan of Magni but I think that Tommy and Gilby aren't quite feeling it yet. He's good but I don't find him compulsively watchable.
Zayra not in the bottom three? Must have been a magic catsuit she was wearing last night. Our bottom three are Jill, Josh and Ryan. I have no love for Ryan but Patrice should have been up there.
Jill sings Respect. While I honor her desire to cover female singers I don't think it tends to serve her well. Especially in this case. This song is deceptive, it is easy to sing, but not so easy to sing well.
Josh sings Shooting Star. Another bad song choice. If I were watching him in a bar with a beer in my hand I would be enjoying the song stylings of the smiley guy but he's no stadium filler.
Ryan sings Enjoy the Silence. It's a different arrangement of this song and it's quite brilliant. Of the three he least deserves to go home.
Supernova agrees. They send both Josh and Jill home. Amen. Now let's get rid of Zayra and Patrice.

I was rather surprised to see Ryan fall into the bottom three after last weeks performance. I knew about 30 secs into Enjoy the Silence that he wasn't going home. There was no comparison between him and Josh and Jill. (I keep thinking Jack and Jill when I hear those two names together.) I told my husband half way through Ryan's performance that they were going to cut two. I could just feel it coming. (I'm still waiting for double eviction week on BB7 too.)
I agree that Patrice needs to go. I really didn't like Instant Karma and can't see how she managed not to be in the bottom three.

What is it with that face that Ryan pulls just after he completes a song? Seriously, he looks like he's just taken the biggest dump and is about to pass out from the exertion!
Having said that, killer renditon of 'Enjoy The Silence' - but credit for that must go to the house band.

MrsEldubya, I think Patrice avoided the bottom three by having the forethought to not glue a crappy wig to the top of her hoodie or apply a black stripe to her eyes in an homage to The Hamburgler. Seriously, Ryan deserved to be in the bottom three just for that ridiculous look.

ryan is pretty talentless, but a great song choice saved his ass. he seems to be screaming the songs he sings, and his "intensity" is soooo contrived. he's just not authentic.
and does anyone else think he looked like a complete DORK with the black eye makeup during the prvs show ?? i swear he looked like the masked bandit.

Way wrong on Patrice! She's in for the long haul. It's either her or lukas. Unless you want that old lady in the band.

If the band were to choose Lukas, they would be choosing a gimmick - clearly a short-term solution. I'm going to give them credit for thinking bigger than that. So if it's not him, obviously it has to be Dilana, Magni, or Storm.
Dilana puts on a great show, but I really think her voice is not versatile enough. She does some things really well, but she's limited. There is NO chance that she could have pulled off "We Are The Champions," for example.
So for my money, it has to be Magni or Storm. Both are excellent. If I were putting money down, I'd put it on Magni, because he is much the safer choice. But if I were buying a concert ticket, I'd want Storm. She has a dynamite voice, and her stage presence is confident, entertaining, and a bit unpredictable. Plus she's got a smokin' bod.
