More 'Curb' for HBO

It turns out it wasn't The End after all. At the end of last season,
Curb Your Enthusiasm looked like it was over with a season finale called The End, where Larry David donates a kidney to Richard Lewis and meets his guardian angel. Fans thought it was the final episode of the series since there weren't any plans for a sixth season. Now there's word that HBO and David have reached an agreement for at least one more season of
Curb. Filming for ten episodes begins in October but there's no definite air date set.
Is it time for Larry to throw in the towel or do you think he has one last good season in him?

I just watched the re-run last night of "The End" -- the final episode of season 5.
I laughed my way through the whole episode and watched both the east coast and west coast feeds. So it's great to hear of a season 6.
Thanks HBO and Larry!

I have to say I was severely disappointed with Season 5, except for 'The Ski Lift' episode. But the DVD is getting great reviews, so maybe it'll feel better on DVD?
I am kind of glad that Curb is coming back for a sixth season. Hopefully it'll be strong and will be the last one.

The reason season 5 DVD is getting a good review is that it actually has a real Extra on it and some honest to good interviews. It goes on to talk about how they produce Curb, how the casting of all the principal characters came about, and Larry's thoughts on different running themes though out the series. It is really good. We also learn that we will NEVER see out takes from Curb. As per Larry's if we don't see it on the original show there is no need for us to see it on the DVD. I can imagine there would be some good ones. I would suggest it is a must have for any fan of the show.
The one thing about Curb is that it is one of those shows that just gets funnier the more times you watch them. I too watch every night at 11:00 and even though I have seen every show over and over I still get a good chuckle out of them. I loved season 5 just as I loved season 1,2,3, and 4 and I am sure I will love season 6.

dude, even though season 5 may not have been as good as previous seasons, its still WAYYYYYYY better than 99% of the CRAP that is on TV today.
I think larry has at least another 2 - 3 seasons left in him!

That guy David is an original. I mean an all-time genuinely funny and interesting man. He must be encouraged to give as much of himself as possible so that we can feast off his brilliance and originality forever. This is not tongue in cheek.

Curb Your Enthusiasm is a refreshing comedy that I can't get enough of. Talk about a "pain in the rear"--Larry David is just hilarious at being one. It's fun to watch how his family and friends put up with him. There are a lot of truths that come out of these shows that one would never have thought of. Just love this show!!

Wanted to send you a note about Guster and Jeff Garlin doing a podcast together. Hopefully it is something you might enjoy.
Here's is what the band had to say about it:
Here's the deal with the "collaboration" between Curb Your Enthusiasm and Guster. It's not a Season Six band cameo on the show. I wish. But it's the next best thing, a five-episode podcast of a long, winding conversation between two Guster members (the singer and the drummer) and our friend Jeff Garlin, who plays Larry's agent on the show.
If you have people in your life who like Curb Your Enthusiasm but don't know Guster, or vise versa, this is your chance to get them hooked on our.... conversational... skills? Having befriended Jeff at our Central Park show two years ago, we thought a mutual podcast would be interesting since we like his comedy and he likes our music. Around the time we were finishing up "Ganging Up on the Sun" we actually went into the studio with Jeff and recorded it. A lot of topics get covered since it's almost an hour long. This might be the deepest Guster interview to date. Don't fear the podcast.
Now for the technical stuff…
A ten-minute episode will become available, for free, every Monday in October, with the first podcast being released on October 2. If you are interested in hosting these Podcasts (which we really hope you are) you can download them each week here:
http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=196933498
Thanks for your consideration. Both Guster and Jeff would really appreciate your support on these podcasts. We can guarantee they will be a good listen!
Please email Genevieve@nettwerk.com regarding any questions or opportunities.
Sincerely,
Team Guster

Everyone seems to be down on Season 5. I thought it was absolutely hilarious and better than Season 4 in my opinion. I can't wait for number 6!!

There is nothing on TV as orignal in comedic genius than Curb. I find myself jumping up out of my chair, slapping my knee, and evacauting my lungs in laughter while tears stream from my eyes, and all as a reflex action. This show must continue, my life depends on it...
How about an episode with Larry and Borat???? can you imagine????

"The End" was not Larry's finest hour, similar to the last Seinfeld episode. There are growing legions of Curb fans. Larry is far from burnout territory. To me, The Carpool Lane, Survivor, and of course Krazee Eyez Killa are the top of the heap.
