Starpulse claims that Cybill Shepherd has "confirmed" a movie adaptation of the TV series Moonlighting, but if you read the article carefully, she actually didn't confirm anything. She mentions that the show's creator, Glenn Carron, told her he figured out a way to do a movie "that won't be corny." So that's it, it's only a thought in someone's head who may or may not do something with it. However, let's assume that a Moonlighting reunion movie of some kind was a reality, do you guys think it would be any good? I was too young to appreciate the show when it aired originally, but I later caught reruns and thought it was top notch. It seems like too much time has passed now, so I don't see how they would pull it off.Anyone interested in a Moonlighting reunion?

I was a huge Moonlighting fan, and I have no interest in this at all. Plus, there's no way that Bruce Willis would do it, and without him, what's the point. You have to have both of them, or it's nothing.

Would like to see it on TV again...but not a movie.
The proposed Dallas movie won't be good even if it does make it to the big screen and I love the TV show.

I too was a huge Moonlighting fan, and even though the show took too many shows to really get started, the series was great. Overall, it showed the comic brilliance of Bruce Willis. Cybill, on the other hand, wasn't that great, but because she hated Bruce while the show was being made (I think one episode had a poster for his first "Die Hard" movie in the background) and hated his new found success, she was a great foil.
So, no new Moonlighting with the same characters... and a hearty YES, New Moonlighting redone with new characters.
This is one of those times when a remake of an old TV series would be appreciated.
A couple of caveats: First, one of the must haves is a walk on by Bruce, or save that, a movie poster with Bruce in it in the background. Even if it's a DVD of Die Hard... and combine that with a joke about balding. Second, banter comes first second and last in this movie. Banter can involve dated and spoof type material, even to the level of a "Scary Movie" type flick. How many other shows buried a Yugo? And last, and most important, their car should be a 7 Series BMW. It's a small point, but a touchstone... Outside of the BlueMoon logo, that's probably the only thing that needs to remain the same.
As to the original actors, outside of Bruce, a firm NO.

I would love to see a reunion with Bruce and Cybill! I would never go to see a movie that re-cast the roles!

As a true dedicated fan from the beginning of the show in 1985 and still to this day i feel like the fans deserve a happy ending for our show in a reunion movie with only the original actors in it. Fans need proper closure in the form of Bruce and Cybill together on screen again.

I definitely would love a reunion and I know lots of others who do! And no recast... That would never be the same.

Dear TV Squad,
I am the Moonlighting Reunion Campaign founder, and what is happening now is a major result of almost five years of dedication. I started the online fan campaign to gather support from Moonlighting fans little did I know it would turn out to be so much more. My campaign staff conducted over 25 interviews from the cast and crew of Moonlighting such: Glenn Caron (creator), Cybill Shepherd, Allyce, Beasely, Curtis Armstrong, Jay Daniel (Co Exec. Prod),
and tons of writers, editors, directors, and more.
We posted all of these exclusive interviews in the "Moonlighting Stranger Fanzine"; which was developed and produced by my campaign partner Christie Taylor.
We were extremely instrumental in the release of Moonlighting on DVD. Like Miami Vice, Moonlighting was being held up by music rights. We met with Buena Vista and Lions Gate and convinced them to take the chance of releasing the series on DVD. Now season 4 is being released on DVD Sept 12 2006.
Cybill and Bruce finally reunited for the season 3 DVD for the featurette "Moonlighting Memories", and an episode commentary. My campaign staff and I are really thrilled that finally all of our hard work and dedication may finally be something we can sit in a theather and watch, Bruce and Cybill on the big screen.
Sincerely,
Joy Chodan

Cybill Shepherd and Bruce Willis and Glenn Gordon Caron have all agreed to work on the project. None of them will do it without getting something good so it is important. I can't wait for a Moonlighting reunion. It just seems like something that was meant to be.

Why does this reunion story keep resurfacing and not go away? It's because there is a sizeable audience who want to see it and it's a great idea!

I was in my 30's working just up the street from where they shot Moonlighting during it's run, and it was our company's "water cooler" television show. We all LOVED it! Every week we'd ask each other if the other had seen the show, talk about it, etc. However, in the last season or two we all really got upset with the plots getting worse and worse, BUT, I NEVER quit loving Maddie and David! OH MY GOD! I MISS THEM! I mean, after 17 yrs. I still LOVE their characters so very much! I KNOW Cybill and Bruce would WOW us if they would consent to a reunion! All we fans want to know is that David and Maddie lived Happily Ever After! I at least want to believe they did! If done tastefully, like the eariler episodes, I think a re-union would be awesome! I will jump for joy if this ever takes place! David and Maddie Forever!!!

Ohhhhh....Everyone shut up and DO A REUNION...I can't even stand television other than news and christian tv on occation and I LOVED MOONLIGHTING...Still do, even though they need better wardrobe in their reunion for cybill and DON'T GO WATERING DOWN the romance in it either...
I was IN LOVE WITH WILLIS...LOL...And haven't liked him in anything else since...
Shame on me but, I would sometimes stay home from church just to watch moonlighting...It's sad but, true...
STOP GOING ON ABOUT IT AND DO IT...
BRUCE...That was the BEST and SEXIEST thing you ever did and cybill was me in my head...Blonde, talented and beautiful, plus smart...Armed and dangerous!!....LOL...
So, bruce, and cybill, your not too big to be what made you and you know YOU LIKED IT...LOL...
