We've all talked about our favorite and least favorite TV commercials here at TV Squad. Boston.com has a poll today that asks readers to vote for the least and most annoying TV commercials of all-time. I have a few problems with it though. One, it focuses too much on classic commercials (what, no Head On? No Fitness Made Simple? No Viagra ads? No Toyota? - though it's good to see Dr. Z there), and two, it seems as if they're looking for votes on who likes or dislikes classic ad icons, and not necessarily the ads themselves. But it's a pretty good overview.
Oh, and if you take the survey, don't you dare call The Pillsbury Doughboy or the "Where's The Beef?" lady annoying!

Every time I see those Dr Z commercials, I flashback to the Dr Zaius song from the Simpsons episode with the Planet of the Apes Musical. I don't know what's wrong with me.

Without a doubt Head On. It is also an incredibly effective ad.

US Army, protect your forehead. US Army, protect your forehead. US Army, protect your forehead.
Seriously though, does this little competition include the pop-ups that appear during our favorite shows? If so, they put all of Cartoon Network on trial for blocking out important parts of the show with their ads, and G4 gets a nod for including explosions that force us to miss what the people are actually saying on the show.
They act like we're not actually watching....

I can't believe they don't have Mr Whipple and his g*&$#!ed squeezable Charmin'. That guy made me want to stab myself in the eyeballs when I was only about 10 years old.
I am relieved, however, to see the almost unanimous recognition of Carrot Top's lameness. No kidding.
The good folks at Boston.com did spell Jeff Spicoli's name wrong, though, in the Dell dude screen. And that's the most annoying thing of all.

Head On is the only product that can cure the headache it gives from its own damn advertising.

I can't believe no one has mentioned the "identity theft" Citibank commercials. Man, I hate those.
