Dennis Miller's
gonna be with Fox News this fall, joining
Hannity & Colmes, and will also be content provider and commentator for the network's website. Does this mean we will see Norm MacDonald one day pop up as a correspondent on
Nightline? Or how about Tina Fey joining
Anderson Cooper 360? Nah, just kiddin'; Dennis Miller has long ago
moved over from the funny side into stone-cold punditry. Fox News is exactly where he belongs. I'd like to say "Dennis, Dennis we hardly knew you," but between his first talk show, his
MSNBC CNBC show, his previous
Hannity & Colmes guest stints and his two-season NFL tryout at ABC, we know him pretty well.

meh... I've been avoiding seeing him or hearing his voice since about '99. Now that he's on Fox News there's exactly zero chance I will be exposed to him. So really, it's nice that he's decided to move completely off my radar.

Was he funny once, or was that my imagination? It's been so long ago that I can't remember anymore.

I look forward to hearing Dennis Miller again. For those of you who are not aware of his genius....he is a genius....literally.
Dennis is fair and makes commentary on all sides. Unlike other former comedians who have been bought by networks and cable channels, Miller remains true to his belief's and doesn't bow to net executives.

Miller is such a hypocrite...Look back to how he treated G.H.W.Bush during the first Gulf War. He just used this debacle in Iraq as a way to re-invent himself and remain famous for another 15. He should've stuck to Monday Night Football!

I had the chance to see him perform his stand-up routine in Vegas last month, and frankly, he can be very, very funny. For a solid half an hour, at least, he had the whole place laughing. Then, he started in on the more political stuff, which actually went over very well in Vegas (it's far more conservative than people think) but my friend and I were cringing inside. It's unfortunate that he didn't stick to non-political humor, but we were forewarned.

Julia Inman (#5) is wrong about "commentary on all sides;" Miller has stated very clearly he is giving a pass to Bush -- no jokes at his expense. He's entitled to do that, just as everyone else is entitled to ignore him now, but don't try to pass him off as an equal-opportunity comic. He's partisan, and if he were a "genius....literally" he would be working in a different field.

Funny. Yeah, I googled all the names who think Dennis Miller isn't funny, and-- surprise, surprise-- none of them have had numerous HBO stand-up gigs, or stints of SNL, or even the periodic television show.
Miller is funny. Not his fault that a lot of partisans on both sides have lost the ability to laugh.
