I saw an episode with these guys last night where they had a competition with their wives over who could make the most profit on a flip. He talked trash about his wife the whole episode but had to be nice when the women won. You are right, he's a big jerk. He hired these girls in skimpy outfits to lure the crew off the job at the house the women were flipping. It was just stupid.

Yeah, the guys are jerks. And the women have some of the whiniest valley-girl-type voices I've hear in a while. Not to mention the boy/girl competition came across as something totally scripted by the producers: "Wouldn't it be great if you hired a bunch of bimbos in a pickup truck to lure away the crew? Let me make a call..."

Really makes me appreciate the South Carolina group. They've got class!

I miss the old A&E network, when it wall Bill whats-his-name hosting and narrating hour after hour of true-life/crime investigative reports. Not that they were the best shows on earth, but hell, at least you could put them on and at least fall asleep on a lazy saturday afternoon. These crap-ass shows they have now, blegh - there's nothing arts or entertainment on the Arts & Entertainment network anymore.

A&E went and ruined a really good show. These people act like they are in high school, how can anyone stand them. The southern guys had good personality and charisma. These people are annoying.

My only problem with Flip This House is they do too much silly stuff for background info. I don't care about going to a football game or getting portraits done etc. I want to see the flipping of the house, that's why I tuned in. I like Property Ladder on TLC much better. The people rarely listen to the host when she gives them advice but then they are first time flippers. But at least you see more about the house on that show.

Did A&E get rid of trademark properties or are they just featuring others crews... if they got rid of them they might as well trash the show... cause both of these groups r awful...

I certainly agree the new bunch from San Antonio is annoying! The new guy from Atlanta is also full of himself and gives the impression that the reason these guys are working for themselves is because nobody would keep them as employees. I like the team in SC much better. More house info/details less comedy/drama.

Don't worry guys. Richard and the crew will have a new show on the Discovery Channel and TLC soon. Landmark is currently in the process of suing A&E over the contract of the show because Richard actually created it (still says so in the credits). He elected to not renew the airing contract because A&E wanted a more "scripted show" (which is EXACTLY how the San Antonio group comes across....seriously, who has a water fight in the middle of a construction site with their spouse?).

So keep your eyes peeled to TLC and the Discovery Channel (both owned by the same parent company) for Landmark's new show.

I agree with the Two A-Hole articles. The subject matter is great, the scripting is rediculous. What are they thinking. Degrading people and family, cutting the little guy so he can drive in his fancy car, drinking beer on the show in front of the workers and letting them drink on the job. What are you trying to teach the public about work ethics. Bad messages. This will come back to haunt the producers and the advertisers. Enjoy the honeymoon, this one will be anulled.

I enjoyed the SC crew so much better than these two other cities simply because they came off as being soooo fake. Best of luck to Richard and crew. I hope the move proves beneficial to them. There is one thing though...and this is petty on my part....but could someone explain to the men of the SC cast that the term "Mac Daddy" went out in 1989!!

You guys are right, this was disgusting. Lets also mention that he was so low-class as to lie to his wife on TV. He is a huslter, not someone with ambition to make the world better. Glad to hear that the trade mark people are moving elsewhere.

Yeah, right on. I was thinking the saaaame thing the entire time I was watching. Like is this just added drama, or what is really wrong with these people? Why does his wife take his crap? And why does Armando's brother allow him to talk to his brother's wife that way? Totally degrading. They have made complete asses of themselves on television. It was a complete joke how they probably think all this publicity will help them....wonder what people really thought when he made his sister-in-law beg for free photo shoots and web design. What a dog! What goes around comes around....maybe those two women will get tired of it and divorce. Armando at this rate will go thru many contractors...he treats his workers like crap. Even his brother tells him that.

The Montelongos are nothing but con artist using the show to try and become famous. Melina has her picture on a modeling site to try and get modeling jobs and the brothers are now advertising a flipping cd and speaking engagements.
Oh and by the way the home that supposedly sold and made over 20K is still on the market-listed with another real estate company. 239 glenwood court, san antonio tx

As a fellow San Antonian, I would just like to say that the Motelongo bothers are an embarassment to the city and to males in general for that matter. Their utter contempt for their wives and the contractors is disgusting and they are a joke to real professionals who work hard to make this city a better place to live. A&E need to bag these two!

I watched the "guys vs. girls competition" episode last night. I agree with everyone else that Armondo is a complete jerk. He has no respect for anyone. It is disgusting how he treats the hispanic workers. He is obviously taking advantage of them. There was one point during last night's episode where he nocks an ice cream out of one of the worker's hands - it was despicable. Then Melina fires the contractor for doing what her husband (who owns the company) tells him to do. All I kept thinking through out the episode was how the entire cast was a bunch of a-holes. Please A&E get rid of these people!

wow, I accidentally ran into this web article and I cant help but make a comment. Anna you being a woman probably wrote this article finding yourself strangely attracted to Armando the main character and in you're frustration of not knowing why preceded to call him an A-hole. Not everyone can lead the monotonous boring routine life I'm sure you live, heck you might even be married, and if you are I'm 100% sure that you wear the pants in the relationship, which brings me to the understanding that. A.) you're man doesn't get it B.) you're a control freak and would settle for nothing less than a boy who obeys you're every command. Having it your way is not always a bad thing and Armando surely has seemed to have mastered that in business. On the relationship side its rare to see the type of relationship that's intact and playful with an element of unpredictability that can only keep a beautiful women like his wife completely attracted to him. In conclusion Armando gets it and it might be frustrating for people who don't, see it play out on TV.

And yes in a couple of years if these squeak boxes they call wives have one brain cell left (obviously they dont, or they never would have married the undynamic duo) well see the famous Montelongos on divorve court how does flip that child support sound Armando & David ?
