Entourage - Vegas Baby, Vegas - S03E09

(S03E09) I'm not sure how this episode tied into anything (it didn't at all really), but I loved it. There were some great lines and c'mon, we had to expect this anyway. A Las Vegas episode for the Entourage boys almost seemed inevitable. Besides they had to go (Vince was getting paid) and as Ari told his wife, he really didn't have a choice:

"I'm sorry baby. You know I'd rather be at menopause the musical, but I got kidnapped."

So the way it unfolded started with Turtle. He got Vince a job to just show up at a party and make a quick $100K. When they got to Vegas, they found out Vince would actually be judging a stripper contest. Jackpot.

To make the time pass, gambling was an obvious choice. Vince burned through the money pretty fast, but he ended up winning it all back in a ridiculously anti-climactic scene. Playing Blackjack, he got dealt eights, split them, got a third eight and then split those, and finally doubled-down on one of the eights when it got hit with a three. So he had about $300K on the table now and the dealer busted. Very predictable. It was the only scene I didn't like. You knew there was going to be one though.

Elsewhere, Eric was getting harassed by Seth Green. He kept telling E to say "what up" to Sloane. So Eric finally called her and she said Seth was obsessed with her when they were younger. Seth seemed to remember a different version of the story and told Eric how he one time "busted on her face like a Jackson Pollack." Ouch. Not a cool thing to say about someone's girlfriend. That comment led to a fight between Vince's crew and Seth's.

Awkward moment of the episode? What was with the whole homoerotic storyline between Drama and his masseuse? All the "please touch me with your hands" and "I need a rub down" comments? Not that I didn't find it funny, but it just seemed out of place for Drama. He's always such a man's man and it was odd for him to be acting so, well... gay.

No mention on what's going to happen with Queens Boulevard though. I'm sure the newly formed Gold/Miller partnership are hoping that Vince's comments energize the masses and the film rakes it in, but that's only if it goes back to black and white. If not, Vince and Walsh will still be blocking it.

In closing, nothing like a bunch of strippers to keep the fun rolling:

Turtle (informing the contending ladies that his vote is up for grabs): "Fortunately for you, I left my integrity back in Los Angeles."
