According to Cynopsis, NBC will announce today that it has ordered six episodes of Nobody's Watching, a series initially rejected by the WB that found a new life on YouTube. NBC actually rejected the series before WB had a chance to also pass on it, but apparently its popularity on the video sharing site must have changed the network's mind. The series was created by Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence and two of the writers of Family Guy. The pilot on YouTube has some funny moments, but I really don't see it taking off as a bona fide television series. Frankly, I think NBC made the right decision passing on this in the first place. Boo. This show is simplistic, typical TV-level crap. It deserves to be only viewed on YouTube. Not a shock a TV channel would pick it up...god forbid they ever put anything good on a network again.

I loved it. I love how critical they are of network tv, how their network rep is a total sleaze with no intention of ever making their show, and the chicks are hot.

I liked this pilot. Of course there is room for improvement, but the two leads were likable and funny. I think also that it might make a good show to broadcast online. If there are two shows coming up that are about behind the scenes at a sketch comedy show, then why not one about behind the scenes of a sitcom.
