First, Brian Williams became a blogger, and everyone listened. Now, the NBC Nightly News anchor has been recruited to be a vlogger, which he seems to relish. Starting yesterday, NBC is putting a video blog called "The Early Nightly" on the Nightly News' website. In the first edition of the video blog, Williams takes viewers on a tour of NBC's Tel Aviv bureau and shows viewers the protective gear he and other correspondents bring with them when they go on remote shoots, including his flack jacket breastplate.

The video blog is supposed to go up every morning, after the 9:30 ET editorial conference call, according to this TV Week article. The "Daily Nightly" text blog will still be around, since it covers what was discussed during the afternoon conference call. I will say, both give you an interesting look behind the scenes, but if Williams wanted more camera time, he could just go on Conan more often. He's pretty funny on that show.
