In case you're one of the few Americans who didn't see Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest last weekend, you can always wait until 2008 to see it for free. That's when USA Network has the rights to air it on television. The network also has the first cable rights to the far superior first movie, Curse of the Black Pearl, which airs tonight.I saw Pirates last weekend and it was so long and boring that I can't even imagine watching the damn thing with commercial breaks. By the way, you should check out Ask a Ninja's review of the movie on YouTube. Hilarious and dead-on.

long and boring Anna? I am sorry that a movie with a good story and an actual plot is boring to you. (I would think that the record breaking box office numbers would prove you wrong)

The movie was longer then it should have been, and there were quite a few subplots, but I can't agree with you that it was boring. It was entertaining and worth going to see, IMO.

At 12o’clock I gathered with a bunch of my dorky friends and we all hopped over to the midnight showing of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. We were all decked out in full pirate’s gear I might add and I enjoyed standing in line with the other 200 hundred people who gathered just for this special ‘sneak preview.’
Although I lost consciousness about 8 times throughout the 2 and half hour movie, I loved every minute of it! Well, the minutes that I was awake for. I blame much of the falling out to the late showing… and the length of the film. The movie had great action and great character reprisals. I actually feel asleep many times during the first POFTC but I caught myself up to speed by catching #1 on USA tonight.
Basically, what it comes down to is if you loved the first movie – the second movie has everything the first one does, but sevenfold.

Well it's not really "free" if your paying for cable.
