The second season of Boondocks was supposed to kick off later this year, but that's no longer the case. Don't worry fans, the show is still coming back for a second season, but creator Aaron McGruder says production is taking longer, and that they're simply trying to make this season look better than last season. In other words, there's no bitter contract disputes or any kind of in-fighting going on, McGruder just wants the show to look good. Waiting can be a bummer, but it sounds like once the new season begins in March of 2007, it'll be well worth the wait for fans of the series. Oh yeah, and instead of fifteen new episodes, the network has ordered twenty. Until then, I guess we'll just have to enjoy the DVD.Boondocks won't return until next year

If only Adult Swim would have pickup Stoker and Hoop also.. I really enjoy The Boondocks, but if South Park Studios can crank out episodes as fast as they do surely they *could* do the same with the Boondocks if they had the funding.. Oh well, I'll wait.. what choice do I have??

Maybe with the additional time, Mr. McGruder might consider actually doing some original content for his comic strip instead of leaving it in reruns.

Drex, comparing South Park's 4 day production schedule (essentially animating computerized paper cutouts) with a real animation schedule like Boondocks is unreasonable. I'm sure Boondocks already costs more per episode (except maybe hooker money for Matt and Trey) then SP ever has.

The Boondocks is the most Racist and dumb show I have ever seen. I would not want to meet any Black person who is proud about the language they use in this series.
Those type of people are helping to put Black people down.
