The writer of Pixar's new movie, Cars, is one busy fellow. Dan Fogelman just got a green light from NBC for a comedy series he created, called Lipshitz Saves the World. The series is about 17-year-old Adam Lipshitz, a social outcast who may just be the one who can save us all from utter doom. Fogelman explains, "if Keanu Reeves wasn't good looking and The Matrix was not a movie but a pilot for NBC." And funny, evidently. It turns out that Fogelman is a writing machine. He wrote the script for Lipshitz over a weekend; after he finished working on a FOX pilot called The 12th Man. He also wrote the script for Joe Claus, a movie starring Vince Vaughn, Paul Giamatti, and Kevin Spacey.
