This season's American Idol finalists hit the road yesterday for their summer concert tour, but runner-up Katharine McPhee was missing. She has been sidelined with severe bronchitis and laryngitis. Doctors say she's on "total voice rest", which means even talking is out of the question. The tour started in Manchester, New Hampshire on Wednesday and Thursday. There's no word yet on when McPhee will return to the tour. For a list of tour dates, check here.

Reading the USA Today blog from the opening night last and noticed the guys all sang GNR's song "Patience" in her honor last night. Also noticed less group sing alongs and more solos and duets. Wouldn't mind seeing it if 1) the tickets were free and 2) have a 12 year old to take as my cover story. Anyone need me to babysit some pre-teens who want to go to the show?

Who cares?!
She's nothing but a diva.
The show is doing great without her.
Sorry Kat fans.

It's very funny that she didn't appear at the Philadelphia, Pa American Idol concert because she is under doctor's orders not to sing OR TALK, but she could be seen hosting The View on July 27, 2006. Can she talk or not!!!

I heard her on a snippet from The View where she referred to the tour stint as "hard." Yea, she's a diva, alright.
