NBC has been fighting with YouTube ever since fans of Saturday Night Live started publishing clips from the show, starting with the well-known 'Lazy Sunday' digital short a while back. It seems NBC may have finally realized what a hit YouTube made of the digital shorts from SNL and will start placing promos for upcoming shows on the site, including some Tonight Show clips.What I wonder now is, will NBC still cry foul when SNL digital shorts appear on the site, or will they simply start showing them themselves?

Hey...SNL...give me a break. The show doesn't have the buzz it once had, and you would think SNL would be happy to get some positive press. Boy...if a clip is funny and intelligent, well....let's not get some mileage out of it and promote the show. Let's hide it.
Don't they have any PR people over there?

Well, according to something David Gregory said on the Today Show this morning, NBC Universal owns a pretty big stake in YouTube (as of recently).

Are you referring to NBC showing them online? They have been for a while now.
