CBS has a lot of confidence in Jenna Elfman. Her comedy, Courting Alex, didn't even last for half a season on CBS, but the network is already creating another show just for her. She has reportedly signed a development deal with CBS and is now searching for a scriptwriter. Is Elfman worth it? She's hot and funny and, according to Joel, she's "sexy in a non-threatening way". Is she worth hanging onto?

I thought Courting Alex was pretty well written - the only problem was Ms. Elfmans obtuse over acting.

She was good in Grosse Pointe Blank. Maybe she needs to find more roles in which she can wear a neck brace?

She'd do well on Boston Legal. Smart, funny, blonde, and [by the numbers] sexy. Those types to well as news anchors and tv lawyers.

I remember when the networks had such faith in Tea Lioni and Margaret Colin, and tried each in several series before giving up. All three women are hugely likeable, and sexy in a safe way. I hope it works out better for Jenna. She was likeable in Two & Half Men playing a variation on Dharma. Maybe that's what they need to do with her--another slightly wacky persona.

At least Tea Leoni made a successful transition to movies (Fun with Dick and Jane notwithstanding). People stopped casting Jenna in movies about five years ago (remember Edtv? Keeping the Faith? I didn't think so).
I have no idea what happened to Margaret Colin.

Well, as a chick who can appreciate a hot chick who is unthreatening (unthreatening because her face does not match her body), I'd like to see her prancing around in the outfits she wore in the Courting Alex commercials. She looks great in next to nothing. If nothing else, that girl inspires me to diet!
I can do without the biggest fattest loser shows and I'm a fat celebrity and watch skinny girls gone wild. I used to exercise to Baywatch reruns every day. I'll take Jenna barely clothed please!

There were 13 episodes made for Courting Alex and only 8 have aired on CBS. When is CBS going to be airing the remaining 5 epsiodes of Courting Alex?

Here's a perspective alot of people will be furious
about: Jenna is over the hill. Like Geena Davis.
Jenna had her moment in the sun and now it is fading.
The "It" isn't there anymore and there are 747s full
of dewey young starlets flocking to Los Angeles as
we speak.Jenna will work, but will never carry a series
on sex appeal. But you made it, you are rich and those
are the breaks. And go take up needlepoint. you're over.
Like Fran Drescher and the 'Will and Grace" women. If you don't think you're old Jenna, stand next to Hilary
Duff. Ouch.

I was watching a Roseanne rerun and she was a hitchhiker musician. Just thought I'd say that.

She was good in the first couple seasons of D and G, but then the show started getting boring. I really don't think she's that good an actress. And she's a Scientologist.

MJ.. I agree she's a bad actress always have thought so.. but what does being a Scientologist have to do with anything at all about her show, acting etc.. STUPID COMMENT.. and no I am not one.. but just think its dumb that you would say that like thats a reason she's bad.

Since this discussion seemed to take a turn toward "I care/don't care whether Jenna Elfman is washed up or not," I think the comment on whether she's a Scientologist has a place here. Some people are reallyl turned off by that. Tom Cruise has brought so much bad press Scientology's way lately that it's drawn attention to other actors who are Scientologists and perhaps hurts them somewhat. That could affect the success of her new show. Relevant.

"Jenna is over the hill...If you don't think you're old Jenna, stand next to Hilary Duff." Not a perspective I'm furious about; more like totally amazed that someone is apparently so confident the viewing public all want to watch "dewey young starlets." And if Hilary Duff is one of said dewey young starlets, I suspect I'm not the only middle-aged person who thinks she's a cute kid and will channel surf right over her.

jenna elfman is a good actress she needs to find the right "project" for her to be in.
she needs to try drama instead of comedy.
can't wait until she hits it big again.
have a great day!

Enough already with the whole scientologist thing. I am sick and tired of hearing about it and Tom Cruise.
Jenna is a pretty woman who deserve her 15 minutes of fame again.

Why this woman still gets work as an actress is one of life's great mysteries....
Almost as baffling as Freddie Prinze getting his show renewed....

Jenna Elfman is a "$cientologi$t". Any money she earns, part of it goes to the cult. On principle alone, anything she appears is not worth watching.
To watch her (or any $cientologi$t's) television programs or movies is to support the cult. I will not put my dollars there nor will I buy from advertisers who buy time on such programs.
