This morning's tearful good-bye to Katie Couric is available on Today's website (you have to download a free video player to see it). NBC spent most of Today sending off Katie and wishing her well. She held it together until about 40 minutes into the show, when the tears started flowing. Katie spent 15 years as the host of Today and will now go on to anchor CBS Evening News. Her good-bye fest includes appearances by Willard Scott, Tony Bennett, Joan Rivers and 15 years' worth of Katie Couric hairstyles.Meredith Vieira joins Today in September. Katie joins CBS News as anchor and managing editor, also in September.

I'm not a Katie fan but I thought the show was well done today. Sure it was all about Katie, she did host the show for 15 years so I guess she deserved it. I really enjoyed Trisha Yearwood and Idina Menzel singing "For Good" from Wicked. That was worth the three hour love fest. Good luck Katie, I can't wait for Meredith to get started.

You know, I was never a huge Katie fan until I imagined the Today show without her. Then I realized just how much I expected her to be apart of my morning routine! I have always watched her and Matt, from my pre-teen mornings in middle school, to my high school and college days, and even now as I go to work everyday. I didn't think I was going to miss her this much! I actually taped her last show because I had to leave, but I really thought it was a terrific send-off when I watched it back. What I love about the Today show is that Matt, Katie, Al, and Ann genuinely seem to like each other. I'm sure they've had their tiffs over the years, but I think deep down, there is a lot of respect and affection for one another. I wish Katie the best of luck as she anchors on CBS, but I will miss her sitting beside Matt every morning! Best wishes, Katie!
