Networks offer an online taste of the fall season

30 rock; internetAh, the Internet. With so much television content going over to the World Wide Web these days in the form of downloadable episodes or special features, it isn't surprising that the networks are offering previews of their new fall programming.

While FOX and The CW offer synopses of the new fall entries, CBS, ABC and NBC are offering video clips of all their new programming. Over at CBS, the previews of Jericho and James Woods' Shark look promising (although Jericho seems like Invasion) while Ray Liotta's heist drama Smith seemed to be Heist and Thief combined.

NBC had the most previews for new fall shows (since they probably have the most out of all the networks), yet Studio 60, despite all of the initial hype, was conspicuously absent. Out of all the previews, Heroes and 20 Good Years looked good for the fall and Andy Barker P.I and The Singles Table were the best of the mid-season shows. However, Tina Fey's 30 Rock did not look good at all. It just seemed to be an episode of Saturday Night Live with the people's names changed. In fact, SNL's Tracy Morgan and Rachel Dratch appear on the show with Fey. Hopefully, the show will be better than the three minute preview that the network offered.

Over at ABC Ann Heche's Men In Trees looks promising as well as the drama The Nine. Previews of the comedies Let's Rob. . . and In Case of Emergency (featuring a host of 1980's and 1990's television personalities) look good, but I'll leave my final decision on these two shows until their premieres. However, Notes From the Underbelly looks like it'll be canceled after the first episode; the preview just doesn't look very good.
