The big finales are finally over. Though we have a few cool premieres starting in the coming weeks, from Rescue Me (5/30) to Deadwood (6/11), let's face it -- TV isn't the same after May sweeps. The question that's floated around the TV Squad headquarters in the past couple of months has been, "what else can we review for the readers?" Enter "Retro Squad."Starting this coming Sunday, we're going to take you back in time just a little bit. Remember all of those great shows that are no longer airing, either from being cancelled or ending long runs and taking a bow? Or maybe you remember the first seasons of shows still on the air? Of course you do; it's what makes you one of the millions of fans of these cult-classic shows. Well, we're going to bring them back to you, one episode at a time, every week. Read on for the exciting details.
Our review format will pretty much follow what we've all been doing all along for current episode reviews, only this time we have the benefit of referencing future episodes and, in some cases, what DVD extras may have revealed about each episode. We've also got a few cool surprises coming for some of the shows that you won't want to miss.
For most shows we'll be starting off with season one, though there will be some exceptions. Once we've finished the season we're covering for each show, the fall shows should be in full swing and Retro Squad will go on hiatus. if you all like what we've started, we'll continue with the next season of each show and possibly add more.

One thing about referencing future episodes, dont give away too much. I just got Firefly and was thinking it would be cool to watch and read along with blog but not if its going to tell me to much about whats going to happen. Shows like Seinfeld that wont matter but shows like X-files and Buffy it will.

This is pretty cool! You bet I won't miss any of the SportsNight, Angel, Firefly, or probably Buffy, either (Though, I really didn't like season one). I only wish Wonderfalls was up there, too ;)

I think that Charisma Carpenter should be cast as Wonder Woman in the upcoming feature film and that Katharine McPhee should be cast as Wonder Woman on Smallville for the Wonder Woman/Diana Prince guest appearance. All they need are blue eye contacts.
