Moral Orel: Loyalty

Reverend Putty: Judas had a pretty good omelet face mask.

In this episode, Orel learns another important lesson from one of Reverend Putty's sermons, this time about loyalty and doing whatever it takes to make your friend happy. Orel decides to test this theory on Coach Stopframe's nephew Joe, willingly joining in such questionable activities as throwing rocks at cars, burning ants, and beating two sexually-curious young boys with baseball bats in the forest. We also get some more insight into Orel's parents, who we learn are both having an affair with Coach Stopframe.

This was one of the episodes which had been delayed apparently due to problems with censors. My guess is that the "beating gay kids with bats" part may have been the reason why. I think the joke is obvious, though, that Orel is just going along with it in order to maintain loyalty. Besides, the boys get their revenge on Joe in the end and immediately resume kissing, so it's all good. Orel's dad, however, punishes Orel, not because he hurt the two boys, but because he abandoned his old friends and didn't let them join in.

While the Adult Swim doesn't have it listed yet, according to my Tivo guide the last episode of the season airs next week, and by "last episode" I mean the "second episode" because they've been showing them out of order.
