Last week it was announced that The CW had passed on Aquaman, but now it looks like, officially, it's not dead yet. It is still in contention as a mid-season replacement. The superhero show is from the Smallville people, and many thought the show was a shoo-in to make the fall schedule. And for those of you who were ticked that Reba had been canceled, it too might come back mid-season. So I guess all you Reba/Aquaman fans (can't wait for that crossover episode) will have just pray that one of the new shows does really badly.

I'm stoked. At first I thought it sounded like a cheap show, just trying to cash in on Smallville popularity. But after seeing that trailer I was totally psyched. It looks awesome and Ving Rhimes on a TV show would be super cool. I really hope this sees the light of day. It looked really awesome.

From Aquamantv.com " Articles in The Washington Post and IGN.com have implied that Aquaman is still a contender for midseason placement, and that this was said at the CW Upfronts by entertainment president Dawn Ostroff on May 18.
We don't want to get up any false hopes, but as far as we know at AquamanTV, there are no plans to put the series on at midseason. Which is why it is very important to spread the word around the Net that you want to see Aquaman - so perhaps, by some miracle or chance, executives at the CW will decide to exercise their right to put in an order for more of the series while they still can."

Bring on 'Aquaman' (and if the CW has a brain in any of their programmer's heads, bring on 'Invasion', too!) Forget 'Reba', "Everwood', '7th Heaven', 'Top Model' reruns (or new episodes for that matter, Gee, what a worthless program 'Top Model' is?) or even 'Idol'. I NEVER watch 'Idol' & NEVER will... What is with all the millions of people who find that show appealling? It & 'Top Model' are both just other forms of reality shows that networks make a financial killing on because they cost less to produce than regular programs but which contain NO entertainment value. Concerning 'Idol', I listen to LOTS of music but the key word is 'listen.' I don't want to watch bunches of musical wanna be's trying to be discovered via a nationally televised popularity contest complete with obnoxious hosts like Simon?. I only care about the good musical artists who make it (& not nearly all of them, either)! ALL reality shows should be banned by congress! Obviously the networks won't stop airing them on their own. They are too greedy. Trust me when I say that the American TV viewing audience will find something else to watch if reality shows (including 'Idol') were all discontinued in lieu of other programming... Afterall, if the veiwing public is dumb enough to watch reality shows, what does it matter anyway? Seems they'll watch almost anything no matter how worthless it is content wise!
