That's what some industry insiders are saying. NBC announced this week that the show was going into the Thursday at 9pm slot (after My Name Is Earl and The Office and before ER), but after ABC announced that Grey's Anatomy is moving to the same time slot, NBC might move it to another night to get away from that hit show. What would go into that Thursday at 9 slot? Scrubs, which isn't supposed to come back til later in the season. Some are speculating Monday for Aaron Sorkin's new show. What do you think?

Hooray! Then the show has a better chance of not dying within 6 weeks of premiering.
Now if only ABC & CBS would realize that putting Grey's against CSI doesn't do either show any favors and potentially puts them both at risk of losing share and not being #1 & #3 anymore (but instead further down the ratings list).

Studio 60 will attract an audience much easier than they(NBC) think. Scrubs is a show that sadly attracts a particular type of person (as was the case with AD) and that audience seems more like to be won over by Grey's than Studio 60's would be. Given this NBC would probably be better of filling one of Dr Cox's trademark perscriptions for "two man sized testicles" and putting Studio 60 against Grey's.
Too bad NBC see's one of it's great comedies as little more than fodder. It should be protected and let Studio 60 tear viewers from the shallow overactedness that is CSI while giving more upscale viewers who made West Wing a hit on Wednesday nights way-back-when something to watch. NBC's playing scared, and that's unfortunate for them and us scrubs fans that don't want to see our show torn apart in the ratings yet again.
although, if it came to it.. Earl, Office and Scrubs is another unnecessarily brilliant line-up.

They should move it because I don't have a TiVo and I only have one VCR. =)
No, seriously, it shouldn't go against "GA". Don't they have a "Law and Order" they can stick there?
I'm really eager to see this "Studio 60" show. Maybe "Medium" won't be the only show I watch on NBC anymore.

I wish Scrubs was on NBC Thursday - it could get decent ratings, I mean Earl & Office aren't exactly According to Jim - they are specific single camera shows, like Scrubs.

Mondays a dead day for TV and me so Studio 60 would be better there. Also with not so much good TV in general on, on Mondays I think Studio 60 would take over pretty easily.

As a Grey's lover who will not compromise an episode, I was looking forward to Studio 60, but figured it was out if it was to compete against Greys. I'd love for them to move it around. The only NBC show I watch is Medium, and I wouldn't mind branching out a bit, if they give me the chance.

Poor Scrubs - the pinball of NBC. They've always put it up against other network's hits and it's never really had a regular timeslot. I guess it's because it's loyal watchers will follow it anywhere.

If they were smarter, they'd move ER and put Studio 60 there. While that might hurt ER's ratings (which is just about to die a swift death anyway), it would be much better for the night overall. As it is, can anyone honestly say if they only had one channel they could watch that night, they'd pick NBC? Leadins and leadouts aren't everything, but you have to give people a REASON to not change the channel. And Grey's is going to DO that for ABC. NBC needs to wake up. Move ER to Wednesday nights. I'd imagine people still watching the original Law & Order probably still watch ER, too.

I disagree with Vito -- as I mentioned in an earlier post, you can't put a Sorkin drama on too late, or people will be too tired to follow the rapid pace of the dialog and deeply-laden inuendos.
NBC has been trying to make a play for Tuesdays for the last few years; I think they'd be better off putting it there, than on Monday, which is typically a weak night (although Monday Night Football is longer an issue, maybe networks are just slow in breaking that habit). Unfortunately, though, NBC probably has their hands tied here. They have very few other solid shows to pair with Studio 60, and it's always much harder to push a show without a good lead-in or lead-out. Although they're billing it as a drama, it clearly works best as a bridge between comedy (especially a thinker like The Office), and ER (can you say OVERdrama?)
If they moved it to any other night, I can't imagine what they could pair it with to ensure it gets everybody's attention coming out of the gate.
I think the overlap between Studio 60 and GA will be smaller than most people think, but that's just me. I still can't figure out what that show has to do with a hospital; it just seems like a show about everybody sleeping with everybody else. Maybe ABC will cross one too many boundaries, and the FCC will *make* them move it to 10pm. In fact, ABC might be smart to try it -- there's probably a much bigger overlap with the ER audience, and I bet they'd cream ER in the ratings.

Hell YES I would pick NBC over anything else on thursdays... if that wasn't already made clear in my previous, rambling comment. maybe i'm just more concerned with having Scrubs succeed instead of being filler one more time, than i am with the plight of Studio 60 (hey I'm naive and fanboyish and I think that any Aaron Sorkin program is an instant success). Yes, i know all the politics and economics behind it, but it's really gotten old none-the-less.

Vito, you totally read my mind. I second that they should really switch Studio 60 with ER, so that Studio 60 could have a much better chance facing off with whatever ABC puts there (the IMHO very unpromising Six Degrees) and that CBS stinker starring James Woods.

Gah, I hope they do move Studio 60, as much as I'd like to NBC on top again, I plan on not missing any of Grey's Anatomy next season, and S60 looks like it's gonna be great.
