Christopher Henderson "working" for the good guys, in a screwed up kind of way, pretty much turned this show completely on its head, but it appears that he is just as desperate as he is cunning, when it comes to surviving to breathe for another day. President Logan continues to play his cards with his "handlers," or whatever those dastardly masterminds should be called at this point, but he thinks he's still got the Homeland / CTU office in his court somewhat, which he most certainly doesn't. He also thinks that he's going to get rid of Aaron Pierce very quickly, but that wasn't to be.
Once again, the baddies manage to get what they want when it comes to military weaponry, which either shows that the fantasy world that 24 takes place in, or should mean that the rest of us should be very, very scared. With only three hours to go, you knew that Bierko and his boys in black would absolutely be going for one last hurrah, but I was just a bit surprised to notice that it would be to come via a Russian submarine that just so happened to be in the Port of Los Angeles. Of course, the treaty that President Logan happened to sign earlier in the day with his Russian counterpart was what allowed for the U.S. military to be taking part in a review and repair of this submarine, so I'm guessing that Bierko was more than aware that the treaty would have allowed for this. Otherwise, this seemed awful convenient, but enough with the criticism.
Screwing up on the job when it comes to working at CTU is a bit stressful. I know people who've gotten in more trouble for spilling a bucket of ice cream than Chloe did for letting evidence that the President of the United States was a traitor and was involved in the murder of a former president, but hey, why split hairs? I'm hoping that Heller makes his way back into the plot in the next two episodes, because his supposed survival had to be done for a reason, right? If anything, I wonder if it has something to do with Audrey's departure from the show.
The most important thing that happened, outside of Chloe managing to figure out where the next terror target was, was Mrs. Logan saving Aaron from being shot from one of his fellow Secret Service agents. It isn't bad enough that she is hurting from her husband's lies, but when one of the only people "on her side," Aaron, is about to be killed and at her husband's suggestion, she isn't about to take that. We know that Pierce making it out of the ranch alive is going to be a big part of how Bauer eventually ends up with Logan, which may just end badly for the leader of the free world.
With only one week of suspense left for us CTU-lovers, what are you looking forward to seeing? Do we think that Jack's ex-girlfriend will show up again? Will Kim show her face, or was that appearance earlier in the season just to do? Will Audrey die, and if so, will Jack then become a hermit? Oh, wait, he already did that a few years ago. And hey, are we going to be able to get any more deets on who the men are sitting around drinking scotch (I'm assuming here, people) and planning horrible destruction for Americans?

When President Logan was questioning Aaron, Logan looked so like Nixon there.

Lets see, last year we had Chloe gunning down some bad guys and this year Martha Logan has one to her credit. Would love to see her blow away her husband in the finale, but my guess is that Logan survives, offering to make a deal to turn on the men with whom he works. Next seaason, it seems clear, Iron Cage Death Match between Jack and the guys in the office.
As far as Audrey is concerned, I hope she lives to see another 24, but if they do kill her off, I hope she takes Henderson with her.

What do you think the target is going to be for Bierko? Interesting choice of a sub and w/no nukes. Guess theyve nuked us out already. Also do you think he will kill the president?

Did I miss a plot line along the way? Who are the guys sitting around drinking scotch "coaching" Logan, including the "leader" with the Bluetooth phone in his ear. Did they ever reveal who he/they are and how they came to manage Logan?

I've thought Logan looked like Nixon since we first saw him last season.

Am I alone in thinking President Logan is the most annoying, wimpy, sleezebag , ever? I was hoping Jack could nail him with the recording, and just for once something would actually go as planned for Jack, but who was I kidding? Logan seems to be on his way out. He has pretty much destroyed his presidency . His answer to anyone discovering the truth about what he has done is to kill them. At this rate, who will be left alive at the end of the season? Hopefully one of the survivors will be Jack.
Oh, why did President Palmer have to die and then go start up his own Unit? We miss you!

Can someone please sum up the last 20 minutes? Due to the President speaking 24 of course started late and my DVR quit recording when CTU was storming the house that Henderson went into.
Thanks

I really thought that Henderson really kept us in suspence on is he going to be straight or is he not? Also, the scene with Aaron and the first lady, she was due to open up and act against her evil husband. Hope Aaron gets out of there and Mike is not harmed.

Again, the lady is NOT HIS GIRLFRIEND!!! Never was...never implied. She's not coming back.
Kim's beau was given strict orders to leave the city. Considering what they witnessed, I'm sure they're half-way to Vegas now.
I so wished Aaron and Martha kissed.
I so wished a low level scan would have found traces of the recording. Still may.
I so wish that the missile's target is Kim's Vegas-bound vehicle. That way, I never have to see her again.
I so wish that Jack kills Ron Howard's brother--for real. That way, I never have to see him again--period. Even with glasses he weirds me out.

Actually, Gordy, she was his "neighbor and girlfriend," and this was indeed implied, also why her son didn't like Jack at all.
I completely beg to differ, so check out what it says here: http://www.fox.com/24/episodes/7am.htm at 7:10am and 7:11am. Just thought it was a plothole as those people completely vanished and yet were super important in the first few episodes.

Thanks for the link, however, neither "neighbor" or "girlfriend" seem accurate. First, didn't Jack live in her house...so he'd be a border, right? She knocked on his bedroom door, not his front door. Also, if this is the only 'girlfriend' reference, I'd assume that it's just bad editing on fox.com.
I never saw a scene where they appeared to be romantically involved--though she seemed open to it, which her son probably hated. Even in their goodbye scene, no kiss, nothing. Did they even hug? Jack was all "have a nice life...be safe" while she was all "man I want you so bad". I think I've seen every episode, and I can't recall one scene.
I could be wrong, God knows it wouldn't be the first time. Now I go back to work.

One thing that they haven't explored yet is the "hit" that Logan put out on Jack. I'm curious to see how they handle that, especially with the potential for the Chinese looking for Jack already. They only have two hours left and it sure seems like they have a lot of loose ends that they need to tie up.
* I doubt that Jack will get to the Four Kings (or whatever you want to call the Bluetooth wearing, scotch drinking guys) by the end of this episode. They'll probably take the entire next season just to handle that.
* Heller MAY come back, but if only just to authenticate the recording. (He's one of only a few people [still alive] that have heard it).
* Audrey can't die,... she and Jack belong together. (I'm too damn sentimental)
* And Henderson will get away and escape to another country, only to be a thorn in Jacks side another day.
just my thoughts...

One question which i cannot remember being answered since the beginning of the series.
(from the prequel)
Who found out Jack is alive 6 months ago when Chloe told him that someone got into her hard drive and found out she had accessed Jack's autopsy report?

I'm with you Norma!!!! I have HATED Logan from the start, which I have posted several times. I can't wait to see Jack up in his face!!!! With this crazy show, I'm still holding out hope that next season David Palmer will arise from the dead! We haven't actually seen a body or a funeral yet. Stranger things have happened on TV!

So many loose ends to tie up:
Is that the poor Bank President's wife is still tied up?
Is his body still in the back of the police car Jack ditched at the airport?
We will ever know if Evelyn and her daughter were spared?
What did President Palmer know, and how?
Will we hear from Wayne again? Collette?
Will Theo Stoller return next season and ask for a new PDA?
... we may never know

Did anyone else think that it was DAFT that their lead (forget his name) had THREE seperate remotely locked doors and a scanner at the entrance but his skylight has a single lock and no alarms of any kind? Also his uber security rig lasted all of say two seconds against chloe.
