Daughtry's fanbase must of thought that he was singing again. Remember the last time he was in the bottom? It was when he first tried doing something other than AltRock.

If he had diversified earlier in the show, LIKE EVERYBODY TOLD HIM TO, maybe he would still be around. Maybe his fanbase would reckognize that if a rocker isn't screaming, that it's still acceptable.

*sigh*

Now this clears the path for Taylor to win, hands down. *sobs*

i have to say, i'm shocked. while chris was obviously the "rocker", he was also the only contestant who (to me) had real star quality. evertone else can certainly sing and entertain, but no one else in this crop is an idol. i guess i'm rooting for elliot the underdog now, provided he keeps singing his butt off.

I am so happy that Chris was booted. He sang the same way everytime ppl! Plus, he obviously didnt appeal to the majority or he would still be on the show. America has spoken, and I love the ppl's decision.

I agree with you Ryan! I called this one (look at yesterday's A.I. article). If you look at the history of the Final Four; every year there is a big shocker. I can't remember who was in the first two seasons (I didn't watch till Season 2 where Clay shoulda won), but LaToya got kicked out in the Final Four and Vonzell last year. Paula pissed cause she's running out of guys to sleep with and Katherine is about to have a nervous breakdown. Elliot and Taylor in the final! The underdog!!! :-)

Ok im sorry but this is such BS!!!!! The only person with anything in that competion GONE??? No I don't think so. American Idol is nothing but a FIX!!!! Come on people......Everytime someone runs away with the votes all of a sudden they disappear?? NO!!! I am sorry but this is total crap. The ones with any Talent are all gone. Now we are stuck with three ok singers.....Yeah like I even care about those who are left. Not much talent left there. When even the judges act like something is wrong, makes it look alittle funny. Plus Ryan was a total jerk about it Can we say JEALOUS??? He just thinks he is wonderful. I got news for him I have seen better piles of CRAP.....
Look back on the 5 years this show has been on, and look at the winners as compaired to the runners up?? I think it is safe to say it was all fixed

Chris seems like a great guy and it's kind of sad to see him go. However, I think it's propably better for him not to win this competition. I mean, it's not like he's not going to go far after this is over anyhow and this way he has way more freedom to do his thing.

I have been an Elliot fan all along and last night sure didn't change that.

I think this is a bunch of bull crap too. the only one that had talent, he was really good at what he did and now he is gone. you ask me the people that voted has no talent themselves. when he was on stage singing he sang with everything he had in him. I believe in my heart he was the next real Amerian Idol and I believe that he will still get a record deal. I was cheering you on all the way Chris. Your Awesome.

I'd been rooting for Chris since the beginning until he sang "A Little Less Conversation". I was shocked by it. His typically intense delivery turned a fun/silly/sexy song into something that sounded rough and cruel and the one thing Elvis NEVER did was to come off as mean-spirited in any way. I knew after that song that Chris would be the next to go. Katharine has a terrific voice, but she doesn't know what to do with it and has no stage presence at all. Elliot also has a great voice, but he has no stage presence either (unfortunately). So that leaves Taylor, who's got it all.

weeks of not bringing it? elliott is the most consistent on the show, chris is a close second.

lets see here, in the past 5 weeks alone. somebody to love, it had to be you, a song for you, off week during birth year night, then two home runs during elvis week. oh and i didn't even mention moody's mood for love, teach me tonight, if you really love me. pretty sure elliott brings it EVERY night. he's had to be twice as good as anyone just to stay in it. and he has been.

Woah - I read that his last night performance sucked, but at least he has good voice. Elliot tries, Taylor is entertaining, Cat has a good voice too but picks wrong songs etc, so I was more than sure to see him at least 2.

Yes he had bad performances, but there where also wow moments. Don't you like rockers? Has it always to be a country something to win? ;)

Nonetheless, he will propbably have a good deal with records afterwards ...

NO ONE IN THE TOP FIVE ISN'T GOING TO GET A CHANCE TO PUT OUT SOME KIND OF RECORD LATER DOWN THE ROAD. I WASN'T SURPRISED BY THIS, CHRIS WAS SOUNDING VERY OLD AND PREDICTABLE. TAYLOR ENTERTAINS EVERYTIME HE HAS THE MIKE IN HIS HANDS. LETS JUST HOPE THAT KATHERINE GOES NEXT.

Saddened - the only one with star presence and the only one to do Elvis justice on tuesday with Suspicious Minds. Season over - will wait for Chris's CD and its coming! I'm not even an alt rock fan - but he was great.
