(S01E10) This week we find out more about what led to Christine and Richard's divorce. All along, Christine has been under the assumption that they both had their issues, but everyone else (including her couples' therapist and Wanda Sykes' character, Barb) thinks Christine is the one who ended it. Christine gets all upset but, in the end, her ex-husband tells her that the marriage was doomed and he didn't have the guts to end it, but she did. So, now we know. Oh, and Richard slept with the marriage counselor after they divorced. Did anyone else think that marriage counselor was actually a man, baby? Yeah!This episode also included wedding video flashbacks that, unfortunately, weren't all that interesting or enlightening. They were in love when they got married. Who wasn't? We see Christine and Richard crack up as they're reading a poem and we see him unzip her dress so she can breathe/eat. And, after waiting the entire episode, we finally see Matthew in the cape. And, as usual, I would've liked to have seen more Matthew. When he was telling Christine about how their parents treated him poorly, I actually thought to myself that I would like to have an entire show about him.
It was nice to see Wanda Sykes back, though. One of the best jokes of this episode was her explanation of how her husband used to handle her breasts, "like he was working on a pottery wheel."
