(S12E13) One of the best things about Casa Dysfunction is that you can never truly call which way things are going to go. I think this is one of the reasons Terry keeps being frustrated. There's no logical order. There is a pattern but it doesn't make sense to Terry and so everything he tries seems to fall apart. Another multi-level challenge of ridiculousness gives the Survivors a chance to fight to see their loved ones. Why do they keep having these physical challenges when Terry always wins? It makes for boring viewing (especially for those of who aren't Terry fans). This season's twist means Terry gets to play God: two loved ones get a reward challenge, one person gets to bring a family member back to camp, one person gets a hug and one person gets Exile Island. Terry lets Shane be with his son which is a pretty cool thing to do. He also lets Cirie be with her husband. Terry exacts a bit of revenge sending Danielle to Exile Island. His choices make me like Terry just a bit more. And as happens to me every season, the family reunion episode leaves me all weepy.Seeing someone's family always adds a new facet to what each Survivor is like. Cirie is pretty bossy with her husband but also loving and maternal. Super-achieving Terry is softer around his fit and blonde wife. It's also nice to see Shane with his son, who is clearly the adult in that relationship.
When they get back to camp. Aras gets angry because he didn't get to be with his mom and feels like Terry devalued his relationship with his mom. A long discussion of family relationships ensues and Terry delights in making Aras upset.
The immunity challenge involves both balancing on a pole and filling a shoot with water. It seems there isn't a challenge that Terry can't win. Shane is clearly angry and even mocks the sacrosanct Jeff.
What's interesting is Terry's reasoning that if he takes Shane to the finals he will win. Terry believes in the performance-valued system that has served him his entire life. That isn't the way Casa Dysfunction rolls. He may well get to the final two and not get the million no matter how much he he was . Danielle says she trusts Cirie and Aras. Cirie is the linch pin in a couple of alliances.
They bring in the jury, Courtney doesn't look much cleaner but she sure looks angrier. I'm tagging her to give the impassioned betrayal speech at the final tribal. At this tribal, Aras says that the challenges are only part of the game but they seem to be the most important part since they can't get rid of Terry. His faux-hawk only contributes to his spoiled boy demeanor. Shane who though he was safe is completely flummoxed to be voted out. Terry covers his face, he's foiled again! I'll miss Shane but at least we are spared seeing him wander around in his underpants any longer.

I like Terry and would like to see him make it to the final 2 and Cirie be his opponent for the million. Then I would like to finally see Terry lose qnd Cirie go home with the money. I think she has played fairly and despite her comment when the show began that she was not physical or an outside person she has come a long way and I believe it will serve her well the rest of her life. She did learn how to catch a fish and that meant she could feed herself and others. Guess that is the Nurse (take care of others) coming out. Good luck to you Cirie even though you will probably never see my comment I am pulling for you.
I also am a nurse and an elementary school teacher.

I think Terry is great and hope he wins the game. There has never been anyone on Survivor that has won this many individual challenges in a row or at all. The man is a monster with a heart and a brain. Lets hope he gets enough votes to win it all!

I'm tired of Terry. It's boring when the same person wins all the time. Look at when Colby won all the time. The jury didn't like it and gave Tina the money.
I can't help but wonder why they told us who found the idol. Where's the mystery in that?? Since we already know, there's no suspense when it comes time to vote.
I'm so glad Shane's gone. Did anyone else wonder why he kept sticking his stomach out??

Terry deserves to win the cash. I think he will egt enough of the votes. I think Shane will remember that Terry is the one who chose him for the overnight with his son, I think Bruce will vote for Terry (based on his performance, Courtney will definitely NOT vote for the trio Danielle, Cirie, and Ar-ass), and the first two members of the jury (I forget their names but they were Terry supporters) will all vote for Terry.

I'm a Terry fan also. Why get tired of him winning all the time? It's like cheering on your fav sport team - and you don't want them to ever lose, right? I do think, tho, it's going to come down to Terry and Cirie and she will end up winning just so he won't. Oh, Shane, bu bye and it's about time. I hope that was all an act you were putting on - I was ready to see you go the second episode. I was beginning to wonder where all the back-bone was in the ladies? Last show started something new - the men were telling the ladies when to pack up because they were voting them off that night - and they just packed up! It looked like the younger guys were trying the same thing this game, but these gals have had their own game plans, shocking the men, to my delight! I applaude you all for the strength you go at the challenges - starving, bitten, too cold or too hot. I would love to see Terry win, but I'm afraid his own strength will be his undoing.

I too am a Terry fan and never tire of him winning. I was so glad to see Shane go last night and yes, I noticed the thing about him poking his stomach out - how weird was that? I think it will come down to Cirie and Terry and they will give it to Cirie because they will finally get to make Terry lose. Plus I feel she has played smart and she would be my second choice as winner. I agree about the Immunity Idol, I wish we hadn't found out there Terry has it. Last season we weren't sure Gary had found it utnil he pulled it out at Tribal and I loved that. Ah well, it won't be long now!

I thought that Terry did the right thing with allocating the "love". I would have made one change though. It probably would have been better for Cirie to get to be alone with her husband and more fun for Shane's son to get to go back to camp. I think that Aras should have kept his mouth shut even if he was mad at Terry. You do not want to do anything to make people dislike you.
I was really thinking that Cirie was going to change up her vote and get rid of Danielle. However, it looks like Terry ruined that plan by voting for Aras instead. Terry is so out of the loop - his vote rarely counts for anything.
Funniest moments of the night: Shane saying that Aras "The Golden Boy" could levitate home at any moment and Shane pouring the water into the wrong hole during the challenge.

Danielle's amazing breasts are the only reason I want her to stay around. Her annoying and unglamourous Boston accent seems to be getting worse though.

I'm so sick of this Casaya alliance. Terry has earned everything he's won and I would like to see him win the million. However, if it comes down to him and Cirie, she'll win because she'll get the anti-Terry/anti-winner vote. What I'd love to see is all these ex-Casayas turn on her or Danielle or Aras in the final two, because ultimately all these guys have lied and broken alliances. Cirie is the linchpin and could have gotten rid of Danielle last night, but instead stuck with Aras and stabbed Shane in the back. Good luck trying to figure out her strategy! One of the smartest things last night was Terry giving Shane the reward -- that might win him a vote from Shane in the finale. I also think Terry would get Bruce and Courtney, since he offered both Bruce a chance to ally with him. (Before his stomach ailment). And Terry tried to help Courtney to no avail.
The main thing that works against Terry winning it all is that he won the car. Nobody has ever won the car and the million -- not yet anyway.

I'm not really a Terry fan because I don't like his personally. Initially when the tribes merged I did root for him because he was the underdog (and you have to like the underdog). I also respect him for being able to win every competition.
On the flip side Terry is a complete idiot when it comes to strategizing. Seriously, every week we were treated to "Betray your tribe by voting for me and I can offer you nothing..." He would bring up the secret immunity idol (what a waste that has turned out to be) but never follow through.
Last night his fight with Aras (who I don't like either) really pushed me to the edge. How dare he say his loved one is more important than anyone else's?

I'm still sticking with Danielle and Terry, with Danielle walking away with the bag-o-money. Casa Dysfunction will stick together and not let Terry will the last and most important prize.

Once again the losers are holding a pity party. The amazing Terry, the one-man tribe, is still beating the alliance of the weak. And reviewer Diedre considers this to be a physical challenge: standing up, pouring water in a hole. Oh yeah, you have to be Bruce Jenner to handle that one. Seriously, this was a gender-neutral challenge, and Terry still wins. And the folks that dislike Terry seem to dislike him because he wins.
Again, Terry wins both challenges. Danielle breaks her word with Terry, then pouts on Exile Island for getting sent there. It's called consequences. Casaya made Terry unwelcome, openly making him a marked man at each turn, then they all get mad when THEIR feelings are hurt (like when they don't win, or don't get to see their mommies).
Anyone that thinks Cirie should win over Terry, should they become the final 2, is engaging in a sympathy vote.

First, Danielle didn't pout on Exile Island. She returned fresh and optimistic.
Second: Terry IS a pompous ass and he is from a culture where the young bucks pay heavy tribute to the old stags, something he is not getting from Casaya.
Third: While I absolutely would have chosen the way he did for the reward challenge (with the exception, pointed out earlier, that Shane and son go to the beach and Cirie and hubs go to the resort), Terry has no right to make judgements about the worth and priority of other people's emotional attachments. It is not his right as a human being to rank other human beings based on worth.
Fourth: Winning challenges is only one part of the game, and some would argue it's a minor part. You must also consider forming and working with alliances, personal relationships and strategy. Terry's strategy is not working, he has no alliances and has, from his first moments on the Casaya beach, failed to promote positive personal relationships. He is earning nothing more than immunity each week. While that is a remarkable feat - undefeated in five challenges - it is not the penultimate factor for winning the top spot.

Terry is from a culture where life & death decisions had to be routinely made, and where he could have absolute trust in his colleagues: the US Navy, specifically, the Naval Academy. His winning streak is a testament to his training. As for prioritizing people's needs, the show put him in that position - that gave him the 'right.' Right on, Terry. And Danielle's pouty disappointment spoke for itself. She tried to put the best face on it when returning from Exile Island, but that's part of the mental game.
Casaya never gave Terry a hint of a chance to make alliances. Their downfall may eventually be that they failed to ally themselves with him.
And the one that was really disrespectful to people, Shane, was for a time Casaya's leader. I can't wait for the last show to see if they string together all his trash talk in one clip, and see him explain that it was 'all part of the game.'

I think Terry should win the money but I doubt that he will because of Casaya's stubborn resolve to have one of their tribe win. They never gave Terry a chance to be a member of the new tribe. Right from the "get go" they decided to vote off all the members from Terry's original tribe. Since the tribes were united into one team, the odds were against Austin, Sally, and Terry even though they were now all one tribe. Terry's never backstabbed anyone. I did like Cirie but she's double-crossed both Danielle and Courtney. I know that's part of the game but Terry never did that to anyone. As far as Aras being so angry that he only got a "hug" from his mother, he should be glad that he got even that. He is the biggest challenge to Terry physically and his dislike for Terry is very obvious. He should grow up and take what he gets.

terry should have brought cirie & her husband to the bedrooms, sent shane's son to the camp, & sent the moms packing. because face it, is aras having sex with his mom? no? then he doesn't need to spend the night with her. this family thing is always so stupid. if i were on the show, i would sit this one out.
