On May 12, talk show host Oprah Winfrey will appear on The View for the first time.
It's unknown as to whether the Big O will merely walk onto the set, or if she'll beam down from the heavens on millions
of beams of pure light and energy while cherubs festoon her head with garlands and the audience shields its eyes
from her holy radiance. Either way, I won't be watching, but I'm sure the ladies of The View will be thrilled
to have her on. Oprah will be there to promote her upcoming special, Oprah Winfrey's Legends Ball, which will
air three days later on May 15 at 8 p.m. The special will focus on accomplishments made by African-American women over
the years.Oprah to appear on The View

Barbara Walters made a huge mistake picking Rosie O'Donnell for the VIEW. Many of my friends do not feel she is right for this position. Now Star Jones will leave & the show will go down hill.

Why would anyone want Roise on there show? She brings NOTHING to the view that will make the show better. I am a balck 58 year old male, who from time to have enjoyed the View and it's beautiful smart open minded women and there points of view on many subjects. Roise will bring nothing but a dull coat of panit..

Rosie's ok but I don't think that she's the right choice for a show like The View. It may be the WRONG decession.

I'm not sure Rosie won't want to be the "star" of the show, but we should give her a chance. She will certainly bring a new perspective to the discussions. For sure, she can't be any more obnoxious than the self-centered, egotistical Star Jones.

Rosie O'Donnell is a huge mistake for the View. The View is way to classy for O'Donnell. To bad, I really like watching the View, but won't be if O'Donnell is there.

Rosie will add her own "diversity" to the show. She looks at things from a different angle and has a lot to add. I love the View and hope to watch it for years and years to come. Life is about change.

I can't believe that you would say that Rosie O'Donnell has nothing to offer "The View". You say that you enjoy the open-mindedness of the ladies on the view, yet you are obviously a closed-minded person yourself. Rosie is an out and proud lesbian, a group that is certainly underrepresented in society and absolutely a voice that has never been heard from this TV show. Even though you may have a problem with her personally, you must admit that change is good and we benefit when minority voices are heard.

Rosie is way to abrupt and forceful for this program.I was in disbelief that she was even a choice.....how about someone interesting from the real world...a woman with excitement...two Elizabeth's would be an amazing entertainment event!!

I think the View will be better without that ugly Star Jones and her skinny tail. I hope Rosie eats her, she'll probably enjoy it.
