Things don't look good for
Geena Davis' show.ABC is pulling the show for May sweeps, and when a network does that it's never a good sign. On top of that, they haven't announced when the show will return to the schedule.
For now, Primetime will take the show's place. Oh well. If they don't show the rest of the episodes they'll probably be on the first season DVD set.

what a shock ... ABC messes with the schedule so fans never know when a new episode will be on (sounds like Lost) and the ratings decline.
what a shocker!

Now would be the perfect time for NBC to announce season 8 of The West Wing.

To bad. It was entertaining. Being from Maryland I got a kick of how they portrayed the Maryland Govenor as evail and that Hyattville Maryland was a rat infested getto. Far from the truth. They needed a presidential protocol expert too many "That would never happen when the President was around" scenes. Last week the Chief of Staff had a friend visit him at the White House unannounced and he walk in to meet him when the President was standing in the next room...That would never happen? Or when they went to Maryland to visit a rib joint no advance team. Anyway I guess I am a Presidential Protocol GEEK!

Good riddance to Commander-in-Chief. After a promising beginning the show became boring, painfully slow-paced and relied on cliches for so many of its plots. And with the talented actors the show had, that means some combination of uninspired writing/directing/producing. Maybe "West Wing" used up all the good story lines!

well you change who the creative team behind the show as many times as they have with this show, it's a goner. They screwed this show up a long time ago and they need to put it out of it's misery!

ABC has lost what ground it had as far as networks are concerned. When it comes to their best shows, either they change the time schedule so no one knows when a new episode is coming on or the network over kills the show by playing it too much (ie: Millionare). My question is when will ABC find a leader who will bring back the quality lineups and not mess with the schedules once they are in place.

This show is awful. The script sounds like it was written by someone in high school. The very talented actors have all been turned into cartoon characters. They just sit around and wait to deliver their lines. Its slow, boring and unrealistic.

It's tough watching that thing when the president has a mouth that reminds me of a duck.

I for one am sorry to see it go. Not so much for the female president angle but for the behind the scenes bargaining that goes on between the Prez and other political figures. It reminds me that this type of thing goes on constantly and that everyone's position is for sale.

I like this program. It has helped inspire young girls and woman feel like they could get to high positions in life. The cast is good especially Geena Davis and she received a Golden Globe for her role in this show! It shows problems within the government behind the scenes as well as the family living in the White House itself. The only problem I have with this show is the way ABC has moved it around the schedule and taken it off the air several weeks. The other major channels do this also and it makes it real hard to create a fan base when you never know when or if your favorite show is going to be on the air. I hope ABC gets smart and keeps this show!

I loved the show & Geena (although she talks with her teeth clenched sometimes). To me it was interesting & informative & reminds me that I hope someone's looking out for us because there's always someone like Templeton around to screw you over.

I for one am disappointed. I think if they got the right creative team and some plots that move a bit faster, that it could be a success.
I wonder if the problem here is that the men that run ABC have a problem with a woman president?

I really liked this show with Davis. I had hoped that it would take off like West Wing which is a shame to see go. There is not much good on TV so was hoping that Commander would pick up the slack. I think it really had great potential.

This was a great show! It showed things from an entirely different perspective...from a woman's point of view. Of course, it also showed the coruptness of Washington and it's politicians. It had up to date events, and I think was portrayed realistically. I will miss this show...it was the only show on network TV that I watched.

ABC really did more damage in the scheduling of this program. You never knew when it was going to be on.

I loved this show. It was off for so long, though, that I think viewers started watching E.R. instead, and then wanted to continue with E.R.
I was pleased to see a woman president and hope it's forshadowing a real one to come.
I will be sorry to see it go.
