(S05E13) I like the disguise and
accent that Syd uses at the start of this episode, on a mission with Renee' to steal a microchip at a call center in
Jaipur. I think she was impersonating Kellie Pickler in five years. While APO searches for Anna Espinosa, Sloane tries to use Prophet 5's cure for Nadia. But he has to kill her first ...
... but only for less than 30 seconds. Then he has to give her the cure. I love Jack's look when, after Sloane jabs a needle into Nadia's chest and it cures her, he looks at Sloane as if to say, "um, OK, now where the hell did that cure come from?" Sloane lies that he's been funding secret medical research to find a cure (he says the cure came out of Barcelona, which is where Payton and Espinosa are - dumb lie!). Jack calls Dixon and asks him to look into Sloane's activities lately.
Dixon tells Jack and Syd that he has found out he's been calling Barcelona a lot lately and been covering it up, and Barcelona is where Prophet 5's headquarters is. I guess they have a city where they have a headquarters, much like Coca-Cola has Atlanta.
Renee calls her French forger friend who is the one who took the call from Payton. He's working on Page 47 of the Rambaldi manuscript. He notices something under a black light.
Nadia goes back to living with Syd. She doesn't want to live with her father because she's not sure she can trust him.
While Nadia catches up with Syd and the new baby, Jack and Dixon and Marshall set a trap for Sloane. Sloane makes a call to someone to meet them. Jack calls Syd to tell her, and Syd tells Nadia. Nadia goes wth Jack to find out what Sloane's up to.
Renee goes to seduce the French forger while Thomas paints a red square on a wall for some reason. It's to blow a hole in the wall to kindap the forger. (Still not sure why they needed a red square on the wall.)
Jack and Nadia follow Sloane. Nadia getsout of the car to see what her father is up to. Sloane goes into a garage and takes out a large package. Jack and Nadia get into the garage after Sloane leaves and find Nadia's clothing in boxes. They also find clinical studies from a clinic in Barcelona. Sloane has covered his tracks well!
Tom and Renee' are tortuing the forger to find out what he's doing with Page 47. He reveals to them that Page 47 is ... fake! The package that Sloane took out of the garage? The real Page 47! Now what's HE doing with it?
A side note here: ABC just showed a commercial for that Fatal Contact: Bird Flu In America movie, followed immediately by a commercial for Perdue Chicken! Hysterical!
Sloane is trying to figure out the secrets of Page 47 when the doorbell rings. It's Nadia. She wants to spend time with Sloane and get to know him. They talk about her being angry at him for his past misdeeds. Sloane says that he realizes that he needs her more than she'll ever need him. Nadia keeps looking at her hosptial admittance bracelet for some reason. And as Sloane goes to cook dinner, Nadia gets a pair of scissors to clip it off, and she discovers Page 47. Sloane explains that he gave APO all the Rambaldi artifacts, except he substituted a fake for this real one. Nadia is furious. She can't trust him. She makes him make a choice -- her or Rambaldi. She throws Page 47 into the fireplace. Sloane starts to see the hidden message, but Nadia fights with him. He pushes her out of the way, and she walls into the coffee table, shattering it. A big piece of glass jams into her neck.
With the help of his son's toys, Marshall explains to Jack how they will capture Anna.
Syd and Renee set up the plan to take out Anna, and Syd asks Renee again if she wants to join APO. She's still not sure. Meanwhile, Rachel walks around a bazaar, where the forger is sitting as a trap for Anna. Renee goes to a sniper's perch to have a clear shot at Anna. Dixon, Tom, and Syd are in position too.
Anna's car approaches, but she doesn't get out. Anna tries to escape in the car. She knows it was an ambush. Someone tipped her off. Syd shoots the car and it crashes. But Anna's not in the car!
Anna goes to where Renee is. She looks just like Syd. Renee' says "Sydney?" And Anna takes out a knife and slashes her throat and kills her.
Later, Jack and Syd find Nadia's body at Sloane's. She's dead too.
And so Sloane realizes what he has to do. He has to go back to Rambaldi. That's what his life has been about. So he goes to Prophet 5 to join them. They welcome him back ...

WHOA! Were the spoilers wrong? Were we mislead??
I can't believe that Nadia is dead! I'm shocked!!
And Rene,OMG...I LOVED her! I was just thinking she would have been great at APO!
Oh wow,I am so going to miss her! She kicked ass.
I shouldn't be shocked that Sloane went loopy over Rambaldi but to kill your own daughter!
I hope Syd Kills his ass!
STUNNED!!!! Just Stunned!

Good episode, except for the terrible product placement of the Ford Escape hybrid. Zooming in the hybrid logo was just too much. The discussion of the car between Jack and Nadia could have been a little more...subtle.
Nice to see the Rambaldi storyline back in full swing.
It's a shame that there are so few episodes left.

"She throws Page 47 into the manuscript."
I think you meant to say that Nadia threw the manuscript into the fireplace... ;)

It was a good episode tonight. It looks like in the previews that Vaughn may be tricked out of hiding by Anna. Nadia's death scene was kind of stupid, he didn't even try to save her.
I'm going to cry like a baby when its over but surely Sydney, Vaughn and Isabelle with live happily ever after

There was similarly awkward product placement for, I think it was the original Focus (though I could be wrong) in an earlier season. I'd like to think they agreed to do the plug in this episode as a throwback to that.

What a cobbled-together episode this was! There were so many voice-overs NOT by the actual actors that it seems obvious that the producers are having to cram these episodes together without getting the real cast back in studio. Is this because ABC cut the number of episodes for the second part of the season? And two murders of young brunettes by throat slashing, what a lack of imagination that shows. Seems they should have been in different episodes, doesn't it?

The blatant product placement in this episode, as in this whole series is truly annoying. I'd rather have an extra 30 second ford commercial in the show than a blatant in character product pitch.

OK, I actually thought the product placement was hysterical. Nadia's use of awkward small talk was a funny expression of her awkward relationship with Jack, and Victor Garber's delivery was classic: "It's useful when I need to be quiet." The zoom on the logo was a bit much, but whatever. This show can do very little wrong for me in the next few weeks.

The convesation in the truck was a call back to when Nadia celebrated her birthday and Jack mentioned he was into buying a hybird. She of course rememberd this and mentions it. Of course Ford naturally took advantage of it,lol.

Product placement was cool till they focused on the hybrid logo , it was alot nicer when sydney drove the focus RS serie on that previous season.

So I'm feeling pretty bummed for the actress that played Nadia. Now don't get me wrong, I don't think she's a very good actress (although better last night than last season), but how much would that suck to be in a coma for the whole season just to come back for 15 minutes of prelude to death? bummer.
As for the ever-so-popular topic of the product placement- shameless and dumb. I agree. It makes me want to buy a Prius.

i think the whole Anna being a clone thing is overdone. She was already a clone of Francie. c'mon they already did it!!! and then Nadia comes back just to die again?
i'm trying not to be so bummed, i'm hoping the last few episodes of this once very great, very cool series won't disappoint.
AWW i 'm gonna miss Marshall! with the toys. when jack kinda stopped him, he wanted to finish his scene he had worked out! funny!

Anna Espinosa was never made into a clone. Francie's clone was actually Allison Doren played by Merrin Dungey.

Ok--I'm really freaking out here. Are they now saying that the Page 47 with Sydney on it was ALWAYS a fake? The girl on the new page 47 looked a lot like Nadia. So, was everything Syd went through for nothing? This is really messing with my head and I hope there is another explanation!
