Now that the news that Rosie O'Donnell
is going to join The View this fall has been out for a few days, I've been taking a few milliseconds to
think about the ramifications.Let's just say this: It's gonna be ugly.
I mean, Rosie's about 20 times more aggressive and opinionated than the woman she's replacing, Meredith Vieira. And, she'll be butting heads with a conservative co-host, Elizabeth Hasselbeck, who may or may not be all that happy about either Rosie's lifestyle or anti-gun stance.
And then there's Star. Rosie's been very vocal in the past about Star Jones, most recently objecting to the former bridezilla's need to hide details about her dramatic weight loss. As it is, the two don't seem particularly compatible, with Star very into her clothes, jewels, and talking about herself, and Rosie being very into... well, the complete opposite of that.
So, how long do you think it's going to take before there's a shouting match? How 'bout a knock-down, drag-out, hair-pulling fight? I'm going to set the over/under for both at these numbers:
Shouting match: 1 week
Hair-pulling fight: 3 weeks
What do you think? Will it take more or less time than this for these events to happen? Let me know in the comments.

And the winner of the match will be the American viewing public.

Why do we deserve to be subject to rosie o'donnell?
At least Patty Heaton would have added some balance to that show.

Oh, the Rosie/Star matchup will be ugly, but has anyone taken the time to think that this is the reason that Barbara Walters brought Rosie on board in the first place? BAD BARBARA!

Maybe its just me, but is Rosie O'Donnel the not-so-female version of Bill O'Reilly without a point?

Rosie-O vs. Star will be one kat fight I would pay money not to see. Certainly the talent pool of presenters is deeper than settling with Rosie. Now "The View" will be "The Train Wreck"

Rosie O'Donnell is the best talk show host ever. She is loved by America and Star should be very scared. If it goes one on one Rosie will win everytime. Barbara knew exactly what she was doing. Go Rosie

oh I think we are the winners here because I'm already looking forward to it. I have a feeling that Star is on her way out. Rosie and Elisabeth will get along better than you think because they share a love for reality TV.
Rosie can calm it down and behave for one hour a day. But I'm sure we will hear about behind the scenes problems too. I hope Joy and Rosie gang up on Star and get her to quit! She really hasn't been the same since she fell in love.

I believe Rosie was hired by BW to get rid of Star. Can't get her to quit the old-fashioned way? Hire Rosie.
Then it becomes a test to see who they'll get to replace Star. I personally can't wait. Star became a liability to The View a while back. She thinks she's in charge, and it's all about her. BW doesn't stand for that.
Rosie has said she'd do anything for BARBARA. Not for Star. Rosie respects BW enough that I think she'll last the entire year of the contract (love to know how much that was for). But then I think Rosie will grow weary of not being able to be a full-time Mom.
But Star will already be gone. Way to go BW!!

If Hasselback tries to take on O'Donnell (who she probably met when she was a Survivor contestant) she'll be fighting out of her weight class in more ways than the obvious one. Hasselback is an intellectual light weight and I'd put O'Donnell at a light middleweight. I don't know enough about Star Jones to really comment except to say that both women are seriously obmoxious.

I DREAD Rosie becoming part of The View. But I believe Star can hold her own! I LOVE Star and she bring her legal background which is often needed. Let the two go at it--MY money is on Star! Hope Joy and get Rosie to keep her loud mouth shut long enough to get in a few laughs! I love Joy and her views and she brings something cute and funny to the show. Elizabeth does NOTHING! Hope the show can carry on with Rosie added but I doubt it! J. McKimmy

I am ready to throw up. It sickens me, and boggles my mind why anyone would ever watch Rosie ( and actually think that her point of view is important) and that she is going to be on the view doesn't surprise me because that show is so bad she can only fit right in. I'm a real person living in the real world and I couldn't care less what any of them have to say. LOLOLOL what a joke
