Gee, with all of the announcements NBC is making about its upcoming
fall schedule, I'm not too sure what they're going to talk about during the upfronts come May. I guess they'll play
charades with the press. Or perhaps their advanced notice is a subtle message to advertisers.
We first reported that NBC has renewed all three shows in the Law & Order franchise for next season. Now, three more dramas are joining the list: Medium, Las Vegas, and Crossing Jordan. What, no Joey? All three series drew about 11 million viewers per episode, with Las Vegas holding on to much of its audience during the show's move to Friday nights.
With the early renewals of My Name is Earl and The Office, this gives NBC eight solid returns for the 2006-07 season. Add to that pickups of new series The Black Donnellys and Kidnapped, a new cycle of The Apprentice (this time in Los Angeles), multiple nights of Deal or no Deal, and the new Sunday-night NFL package the network has a fairly crowded schedule. That's not including Aaron Sorkin's new drama Studio 60, which is a fairly certain lock, and Scrubs which, according to creator Bill Lawrence, is heading for a renewal.
With all of these returning shows, three new series, and a half-season of football there isn't much room for new development. However, that stability may be what NBC wants to show for the always important advertisers during the upfronts. Will know if it works when the first shows appear in September.

Los Vegas really sucks, what was James Caan thinking? Just when you think it hit bottom they surprise you with another awful story line. Robert Urich must be spinning in his grave, The old Vegas show was great this show is tired, it was after the first season. same plot every week, 6 nimrods work in a casino who are never in the casino. 1 wholesome Bimbo with a great rack, I blond bimbo that runs a night club but is stupid, with no rack and 1 little bitchy bimbo that should be bent over a table oh and the spiked haired male bimbo that just acts like a moron thats suposed to be head of security for a casino. Give me a break, one more thing why would people in their 40 s want to see the Black Eyed Peas ? and all the other new barely talented modern singers on this show. Kill it now or Fire the writer s and hire Jerry Brookheimer he knows a good formula, take notes guys Hello...

I really love that show and can't seem to find any concrete info about it being renewed.

I am really hoping that Surface is renewed. From the very first episode, I was really hooked. It is one of the few shows on NBC that I enjoyed. I am not too impressed with their current fall lineup. Is there a petition going around anywhere?
