That's the last thing that an ensemble show needs. Expect a mass exodus of her co-hosts, and that's too bad; poor little Elizabeth deserves better ...

Wow. Removing Meredith and adding Rosie O'Donnell is a bit like removing the lifeboats on the sinking Titanic and replacing them with large boat anchors.

Rosie is wonderful and I am not Gay. She is a true entertainer with no strings attached. I love her and many more people do. She will be an approvement to the show if she is hired. I am not that crazy about Joy.

I love the reaction to this news. With Katie Couric, the buzz was on-par with TomKat or Bragelina. With Meridith Viera, there was quite a lot of commotion and speculation. And with Rosie? It's either "whatever" or "Idiots". There's just no energy behind this announcement. And it makes me laugh. (But only because I'm shallow.)

I predict rating will initially go up, then drop in the toilet. Rosie is an early sufferer of "Tom Cruise Syndrome" that has the afflicted believing that fame and money suddenly give you the right to impart your twisted sense of reality on the rest of the world.

Rosie will replace Meridith! What a great choice. I was so disappointed when Rosie left her show. I will be a more devoted fan now, more than ever. Rosie tells it like it is and that is what I love about her. She can make you laugh at the drop of a hat. Look at how well she did on her own..I can't wait to see what The View's ratings will be once Rosie is on board.. Meridith, I love ya, hate to see you go, but you have to admit, your replacement, to me, will bring great new "views" to The View.. Keep up the good work.. Love the show! Sincerely, Catherine. p.s. Rosie will eat Elizabeth up and spit her out. I can't wait to see that! I still can't believe Elizabeth is still on The View...she doesn't say one word that sounds educated. Rosie will bring a very fresh view to this show, a real view, that's for sure! Go Ro!

Are you all nuts! If she was all that great, she would still have her own show. So much for spending time with the kids. That lasted, what, four years? The only "new dimension" she will add, is to promote
her alternative universe.

Rosie's show wasn't cancelled. She quit her show back in 2001 to spend more time with her adopted children.

Alright, Rich, I didn't say her show was cancelled, but she was on her way out way before she quit. Her ratings dropped below sea level when she stopped entertaining and started preaching.

Actually Elisabeth might be happy to have someone else on who watches as much reality tv as she does. I have missed Rosie's comments on Survivor and American Idol.

I'm curious as to who will lead Hot Topics? Rosie?
