If you never saw Home Movies, you missed one of the best shows to hit
the airwaves in the last several years, animated or otherwise. The show fared okay on Adult Swim for a short time,
after being rescued from UPN, but viewers gravitated toward weirder shows like Space Ghost and Aqua
Teen, leaving Home Movies to eventually whither and fall off the vine. Well, as I mentioned before, creator
Brendon Small is bringing a new show to Adult Swim in August called Death Clock Metalocalypse. The new
show is about a world-famous death metal band and may seem a far cry from Small's other show about a shy but
quick-witted kid who makes movies with his friends, but Small's love of RAWK was evident even on that
show, especially in the form of older kid Dwayne and his garage band. Death Clock Metalocalypse sounds like
the perfect mix of over-the-top, ear-busting chord thrashing mixed with the same dry and subtle humor as his earlier
work. YouTube has an extended teaser for the new series, which you can watch after the jump. I've seen segments of this
teaser on Adult Swim, but I'm not sure if they've ever played the whole thing or not. Enjoy, regardless.Death Clock Metalocalypse teaser

Hmmm. I was a HUGE fan of "Home Movies" (which always made me think of the wonderful, long-departed "Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist," not least because of the presence of Loren Bouchard and H. Jon Benjamin), and still seek out the random repeat Adult Swim chooses to throw out.
But this definitely looks...different. I'll watch the premiere, because Brendon Small is a genius, but I'm definitely reserving judgment.

I llve death metal, i also love adult swim and their wide range of comedy. If this show is anything like the preview ( to the point where i watch it 30 times ) then it will be a great addition to the network and will rank in with great reviews.

Hey, dette var fett ja, håper det kommer noe av det på Norsk tv, men tviler på at noen gidder å kjøpe opp dette så man får bare holde utkikk andre steder.
Rock on , bang that head that does not bang ,,/

Why are they doing the "I love you" sign? Do they not know that the hand sign for METAL is with the thumb touching the ring finger? With the thumb sticking out it means I love you. Details people...DETAILS! Just watch any live footage of the band Dio if you don't believe me. I would change that quick.

yeah, this show will be awesome!!
it better have some parodies of real metal bands, too.. this will make it a thousand times greater!
ha ha, notice the grocery store's name is "fintroll's".
to all non-metal viewers, they are a folk-metal band.. you know, accordions and kazoos and stuff of that kind.. they rock too O:
,,/ yeah, rock on!
