Ken Levine has a really funny list at his
site: how most TV shows are, to put it mildy, unreal. Some examples: CSI having a huge lab that can figure out
anything; the great cell phone reception that Jack always gets on 24; and the fact that Michael hasn't even
been violated yet on Prison Break.
- Speaking of 24, Michael over at Too Much Free Time has a funny wrapup of what's
going on with the show lately.
- EW's Popwatch blog picks the Rod
Stewart songs that each Idol contestant should sing tonight.
- And TV
Tattle has about 7 million stories on Idol today.
- Oprah and Jennifer Aniston laugh about the rumors that Oprah will
host a wedding for Aniston and Vince Vaughn.
- Lost writer and
supervising producer Javier Grillo-Marxuah gives a talk to students at the University of
Michigan about writing for TV (note: goes directly to Quicktime video). Very interesting info about how he got hired on
Lost, how they come with ideas, and how the scripts are written. He also talks
about the web and TV blogs (Television Without Pity in particular).
