Kristen Bell on "Veronica Mars." She's in damn near every scene, she can make her character take on any personality she wants, she does stunt work, she sings--and she's one of the best actresses ever to work the small screen.

I went in search of a show where the main actress was the only reason I watch a show, and I couldn't think of one. Perhaps Karen is right, but what does that say about the roles for women on TV? Oh, and Teri doesn't deserve the amount of money she "earns"; she's annoying on that show.

NOT Teri Hatcher, that's for sure. I rather have the other 3 housewives get more money than she. Even Edie than Teri, for god's sake.
I second Kristen Bell. It's her show! And she does carry the show, unlike above person.
I think shows these days are more 'group effort', coz I can't think of any actors/actresses that should earn the most compared to the rest of his/her main cast.(e.g. top ratings shows like grey's anatomy,lost,etc,-all group efforts) Well, except for Kiefer and Kristen.

I have never seen Desperate Housewives, but I thought it was an ensamble show. If Teri Hatcher is paid that much shouldn't the other women be paid the same?

well look at it this way. she was a has been so she is just looking out for herself because after the show ends she will be a has been again. i think she and her character are terrible and should be written out of the show. One person cannot be that naive and stupid. but no she should not be making more than the others

Personally, I like Teri's character the best of all! She adds the MUCH needed comedy to the show. I also think Teri is one of the most beautiful women on the planet. But I do think it's a shame in such a wonderful ensemble show that one persone makes more than the others. It HAS to cause bad feelings. I hope it won't affect the show.

Teri Hatcher should not be paid more than the other housewives. She is the least likable of the group and is very divicive. I have read interviews where she said that she is the only actress on the show that doesn't wear hair extensions and that she is supposed to be the star of the show. She should take a lesson from the Friends cast -- all for one and one for all. The show would be much better without her annoying, lying character.

In the history of television, only two actress come to mind that were probably paid higher in the long run -- Lucille Ball and Mary Tyler Moore. Is Teri Hatcher in their class? No.

I would be more impressed if Teri Hatcher had included the other housewives in the deal. They should all get a cut of the products sold with their logos added. Also, more money for all and for all good feelings and a long run on Housewives.
