CSI: Miami - Free Fall

CSI: Miami; CBS(S04E20) This was an interesting episode. Odd though because it was a continuation of this episode from way back in January. Remember Leo and Sienna, our Bonnie and Clyde wannabes? They were caught on that drawbridge and threw all that money around? They went to jail but only now was their story addressed. If I understood it right though, it's only been three days since Leo and Sienna were caught and there's been five episodes since they were introduced. I don't know why, but I found that weird. I guess I just thought more time would have elapsed.

Anyway, they've been released and have already been connected to two dead drug smugglers. Turns out the dead guys had some money that matched the bills Leo and Sienna were found with. Money, of course, means Calleigh's former flame Peter Elliot is around. He's an expert in tracking laundered money. And being a jerk.

The story was a bit all over the place. Tons of folks were involved, including a drug kingpin played by the guy who was Gael in the third season of 24. I couldn't stop picturing him with those bloody blisters all over his face, dying in that hotel basement. That image is ingrained in my mind. He can't be another character.

The whole subplot with Erica (that pain in the butt reporter) was probably the best part of the episode. It finally got to the point where Wolfe was warning her that if she keeps digging into cases, then she's going to get hurt. Well it happened and she took some glass shards in her arm during a shooting. I just really don't like her character. She's not ambitious; she's cocky and naïve. I hope that something happens to her so that she's forced to reveal her source regarding the mole in the lab. There are only a few episodes left though, so starting next week I think things are going to heat up. Everyone is on edge and it's only a matter of time before the mole slips up and starts dropping clues to his/her identity.
