Kiefer Sutherland drinks a lot, lives in a seedy neighborhood

Rather fascinating
interview
with
24 star Kiefer Sutherland in the new Rolling Stone, where he and the interviewer talk about everything
from why he looks forward to the day when he doesn't have to do the show anymore (though check out
this news from earlier
today!), why he drinks a lot, his neat freak habits, and the weird giant warehouse he lives in.
He also
hates foods with certain textures. I can identify with that. I freak out if I ever touch a peach. All that fuzz.
*shiver*

Mr. Sutherland wasn't made by his father. I'm sure the surname helped, but Kiefer has made a name for himself. As for the money, it's my understanding that the Sutherland family owns quite a large stake in Ireland. I haven't heard anyone take anything away from Kiefer's father because of this. I enjoyed Kiefer in the 80s. There was a brief lull but now I'm able to get my Kiefer-fix every week. I couldn't be happier!

You can say what you want about Keifer and his issues with alcohol and occasional irrational behavior; however, he knows what he is and makes no excuses for his behavior. At least he is accountable for his actions. That's rare in life and especially in Hollywood. I am sorry to say, I can totally relate to what he is saying. He is making a conscious choice to live his life the way he is, and I am sure that one day he will make a conscious choice to change his behavior. I wish him the best.

Photos from the "Promised Land" pressbook show me this guy has a life, a good one, regardless of what the media is trying to portray here.

Ever since he was born, I have always wondered why his Parent(s) named him after "Liquid Yogurt". Now I am stuned to know he has 6 names...hum!, must be good friends of dad's from the Monty Python Days.
I spent 30 years smoking (unless you count the years my dad smoked, and when grandma came to visit with her Kool non-filters) I finally quit being a slave to nicotine and am glad for it. It is only a Legal Addiction. I use to say "I'd probably get run over by a truck if I quit (use to work w/ racehorses, tractor-trailers rolling through all the time, from the Poop removers to the horse vans).
Lastly, Darlin' give your poor Liver a break. Hep. C eventually moves in, then cerrosis, it is a horrible way to die.
Oh, and one more thing, you are handsome, ruggedly handsome, like "Steve McQueen" ... not the queen, James Dean.
Hausta Luego, Guapo!

Hey, I wasn't born to a rich actor but he was a great Dad. Go for it Keifer, I just see a lot of jealousy out there. You are welcome to hang with me anytime.

Don't judge a book by it's cover. Keifer is a good actor and I love him and his acting. I agree everyone has there quirks and ups and downs and so does he. Just let him do his job and keep us entertained every week on 24. I watch 24 every week my self and I think it is a good show. Keep up the good work Keifer. So what if Keifer drinks alot he isn't the only one out there that drinks.

Most of you people are full of sh#$
You talk like you know about the life that he's lived
That anger is yours, it ain't got no place on him
If your ever gonna be happy you gotta deal with what's within
So stop whining and crying and worrying about what he does
And start thinking about your life
Your kids might be on drugs
If i'm saying anything it's that there's more to life than this
Get to know your family, your siblings, their kids
Uncles and cousins and long lost friends you never see
Bring America back its values
Stop living through your T.V.
Get out and meet your neighbors
If your lucky, very lucky, you might meet me

i come from a third world country,i neither have the money no the time to criticise those who have it and i think the rest of you who do should stop it.It doesnot matter if acting aint a real job for some,or if Keifer choses to drink his money, the bottom line's that he earns it and no one else,so give the guy a break, and about him not having a girlfriend, how many of you have dated Julia Roberts????you have any idea what it takes to impress a woman like that?Bigups to you Keifer, you rock!!!

Kiefer Sutherland is not only a very credible and talented actor but also extremely attractive and improving with age! (Lucky him!) Also, I am quite sure that without exception, if anyone's life was scrutinised in enough detail, it would reveal flaws and weaknesses. Leave him be and let him enjoy himself!

ok, here's the deal: he didn't grow up rich! he didn't have the help of his father! he barely even knew him growing up. he lived with his mom and at least at the beginning they were broke and lived in the shadiest part of Toronto. so shut the f*** up! coz you don't know what you're talking about. Barely seeing your father, and your mother (also an actress) being away all the time, busy with her career, sending him away to schools... you're bound to be a little messed up. not to mention his grandfather being a famous controversial politician (very much to the left!) and his mother also fighting for her political beliefs and being thrown in jail for it... he was born into kind of a crazy family, that couldn't have been healthy. so stop judging, nobody's perfect, and believe it or not, a ton of money doesn't buy you love or happiness. give the guy a break! he IS a self made actor and a damn good one, and he has a lot more going on than acting. so back off!
