Kiefer Sutherland drinks a lot, lives in a seedy neighborhood

Rather fascinating
interview
with
24 star Kiefer Sutherland in the new Rolling Stone, where he and the interviewer talk about everything
from why he looks forward to the day when he doesn't have to do the show anymore (though check out
this news from earlier
today!), why he drinks a lot, his neat freak habits, and the weird giant warehouse he lives in.
He also
hates foods with certain textures. I can identify with that. I freak out if I ever touch a peach. All that fuzz.
*shiver*

Gee...I just feel so sorry for poor Sutherland. Wow...boo hoo....he's making millions but he has to work so hard for it. Gosh..no girlfriend... wonder why. Come on! Quit your bellyaching and rake in your money and get off the sauce and GROW UP! If it's so hard making all that money you can send some of it my way and I'll pay my bills and finally have some peace in my life and I WON'T WHINE ABOUT IT! And I sure as he-- won't complain or give control of my life to stupid booze. snif

Another movie stars kid. Amazing another mess. Maybe he should try getting a real job like most of America. He never need to because daddy is his meal ticket. Cant we see the end here? Daddy is a movie star... Drinking..Drugs....I predicted the end before it happened. Hes heading to rehab. Rehab wont help and one day youll find him on an overdose. Can we say mentally unstable. OMG a peach EEK lets run away... IT might bite. Sounds like acid trips gone awry to me. Well hope he finds GOD his only salvation.

Money doesn't solve anything. People without money judge people with money so harshly. How about a hand up instead of kicking him when he's down.

I always kind of felt sorry for kids born into families with famous parents...its like they never got a choice to be normal...and yet when I was growing up I always envied them, all that money, didn't have to work if they didn't want to..etc.etc..but now that I'm 43yrs old, I can truly say I'm glad I grew up average, with average parents, both working class people who did factory jobs and worked shift work ...just blue collar Americans...I wouldn't trade it for nothing in this world...Seems like anymore when you read about a famous persons adult child they have excessive problems....and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize why......People need their privacy and also need to work for a living so they feel acomplishment in their lives....without that you feel empty....having money isn't the answer to happiness, but us working class Americans know it does make life easier for us but its still a nice feeling when you save for something you've always wanted and then are able to buy it....nothing can come close to that feeling ...except of course the love of your family.....So I'm glad I'm not Rich and I'm glad I'm not poor....Also I love my privacy and wouldn't give it up for any amount of money......Take care all

It's amazing how everyone knows what's best and what's wrong with everyone "else!" Let's practice kindness, love, forgiving, and admire him for the GOOD that he is and does. Life is difficult for everyone in all different kinds of ways; some just don't admit it and others complain all the time. Give thanks and praise & be kind to all. Walk in Love! God Bless Keifer.

I have not missed one night of "24" since the first show. I was never a fan of Keifer's but since 24 I've been a big fan. I really thought with all his new found success that he had changed his lifestyle and "found himself". 24 will not be the same without him. When they do a season without hime I'll probably stop watching it.

Kiefer may have his problems (who doesn't) but he's a top actor. And don't blame the dad for the son's problems. I am looking forward to 3 more seasons of 24 and his new movie Sentinel. He has his quirks but I'd put up with them anyday !!!!

Hey Keifer Sutherland, you rock! I loved all of your movies n I have always thought u were the cutest since u were a little man... n I am a lesbian myself! I just wanted to say congratulations on the deal with the network... see if u push hard enough they compromise!!!
Hey if ur drinking alot maybe u wanna come out for one with a peon like me sometime...if so u can find me, I wrote the guardian, but had another woman take my place to do all the footwork for me, I am anonymous in the sense that I do things for reasons not just for money, so i stepped down from the writer's chair n handed it over to a girl who wanted that life. So I live a somewhat boring n trivial life, but i am free of the paperazzi, the fame, the craziness it all becomes, n i still get to catch a re-run or two every now n then n know in my heart n head that I wrote this, what I am watching or hearing now, n that is enough for me. Soon enough I am gonna go back, as I need money to pay the bills as well... so back to the grind it is. Some people just don't understand the ups n downs of being famous, it is like being put on an unknown rollercoater ride n when u wanna get off it just doesn't stop...I was supposed to return march 10 2004, but i still wasn't ready. I guess it's just the flow of my imagination...i neeeded a break n they said no, so i came up with a plan , i got this girl who i hardly knew to say she was me n now she is living in my mansion in Boston, MA. it is so funny how she took over n has done quite well actually after the guardian ...which didn't hit big because i never finished the script... guess they couldn't make it take off w/out me, but such is life. I am very happy for your successes. I hope you find what u r looking for... I know I have found my little piece of heaven.

Kiefer is a great actor. I enjoy watching anything with him in it. He sure got it from his father, who is also great at what he does. Have watched them both for years, and will continue to do so as long as they are still in the acting field. Their personal life is their own business, and 99% of everything said about them is probably made up. Keep it up Kiefer.

First of all: To anyone who thinks acting is not a "real job," GUESS AGAIN. Every minute on television requires about an hour of filming time, during which the actor must do and do and do the same thing again, until the director decides it is perfect. Why judge Kiefer Sutherland? He's a successful actor who chooses to live humbly, ignoring the extravagant glamorous B.S. that most Hollywood actors subscribe to. And who cares if he drinks a lot? What does that have to do with anything?

It amazes me how people think they "know" celebrities they've never met, simply based on what they've read or seen. I know how Hollywood gossip gets started, since I was caught up in in about a year and a half ago when Mr. Sutherland left something (a ticket for a show) at my hotel in my name which was for a mutual friend of ours. Though I hadn't met Mr. Sutherland yet, gossip flew around the hotel that he'd be there, staying with me, blah blah blah. I did meet him, a year later, and found him to be extremely nice. Another thing is that people think it's all about money. If you have a lot of money, you should be happy, right? Sorry, it doesn't work that way. There are just some things in life you can't buy. Happiness is one, love is another. I've also seen where Mr. Sutherland works. I've seen some of the conditions actors have to work under. People would be surprised that their own "low-paying" jobs (compared to the "millions" actors make) have better working conditions/environments. Most of us wouldn't want to have to work 12-16 hour days, at all hours of the day (sometimes they shoot scenes in the middle of the night). To these people that envy those who are "rich and famous", take a little trip to Hollywood and see just how hard it is to get into the business (go to a few auditions, experience real rejection, have your soul ripped out of your body) and you might feel a lot less envious about the lifestyles of the "rich and famous".

Keifer's an artist. Give him a break. Appreciate brilliance when you see it. If you don't like him, don't watch him. You gotta know artists have their quirks. He is who he is. 24 is his outlet for creativity. Have you ever known a brilliant artist who is not imbalanced in ways (Da Vinci, Einstein, Howard Hughes, etc. etc.) As long as he understands himself and the public enjoys his works, who cares where he lives?
