Page Six, the New York
Post's bastion of truth, has reported that Patricia
Heaton is the front-runner to replace Meredith Vieira on The View. As we all know, Vieira will leave the
chat-fest in May and move to the anchor chair of the Today show three months later. This actually makes some
sense, since Heaton has been said to be talking with Buena Vista
Television about hosting a talk show. And since The View is on ABC, part of the same Disney family as Buena
Vista, the move seems like it would be a natural one.Because of Heaton's Republican views, the report goes on to say that the producers will replace Elizabeth Hasselbeck, also a Republican, with Fuse TV VJ Marianela Pereyra. A rep for the show called these reports "rumor and conjecture," saying that they won't have any replacement for Vieira until September.
I'm in favor of the move, if it happens. For some reason, I'd like to hear Pat talk about her bedroom habits. Hey, she may be a Republican, but she's a pretty sexy Republican. If she doesn't go in that direction though, I'd just like to see her slug Star Jones. Don't ask me why.

Why can't they have two Republicans and two liberals? It seems always kooky that Elisabeth is the only repulican in a sea of Liberalism. Let's have a balanced view!

I can't stand Heaton, but if it involved a Star Jones punchfest, I'm in.

No this can't really happen. Waaaay to good to be true. It's almost like Christmas in April (I'm sorry, I truly meant to say 'winter break' in April.) My bad.
God bless, (oops! sorry again, I meant to say the 'force' be with you.) Stan

That woman is 100% Catholic. Nothing wrong with being 100% Catholic. Only she judges everyone so publically and I feel she is no one I will ever watch on The View. If they decide on Heaton, I will NEVER watch that show again. Until she started making her religious and political choices known, I watched Everybody Loves Raymond; however, when she walked out of the video music awards because Sharon Osborne used off colored language, she showed her true side.
Heaton is so one-dimmensional with her opinions regarding politics or religion; however, when it comes to her on "vanity" (tummy tuck, larger breasts, I'm sure a face lift is next), then there is nothing wrong with vanity.
Starr Jones will kill her while Joy Behar makes her look like the fool that she is. She is not up to Star and Joy's level of conversation. Elizabeth is only able to get in there because she talks fast. Also, just because Elizabeth is on T.V., she felt the President would send her a Christmas Card. I don't understand why she thinks she is so much more important to Bush just because she is on T.V. and backs everything he does knowing it's wrong. Elizabeth Hasselbeck needs to go to. If you want a neocon in there, at least get one that understands politics and keeps up with the facts.
The View is so over.

The View gives me a headache. Everyone talks over everyone --who can even understand their points of view?

The comments by Belinda are so typically liberal, loving, tolerant and given to intellectual honesty I hardly know where to begin in my praise of her wonderful insights. She must be so proud of herself as she bashes catholics, conservatives and anyone else who just might disagree with her tolerant ways.
She gives me hope for the future as we anticipate her ilk taking control of the country.
God Bless America as we are going to sorely need it.

This woman was a star on a top TV program. She should have her own show. Hey, if Ricci Lake could do it, anybody can!

If it is time to clean house on the View, then please replace Elisabeth. I don't fault her for being Republican, we all make mistakes. But I do fault her for not thinking before she speaks. She's blindly following a President simply because of the party. All that aside, her voice makes my blood run cold. It is like hearing fingernails on a blackboard.

Replace Elizabeth???????? If The View replaces Elizabeth for being a Republican, because they don't want to have two Republican hostess, I will STOP watching the show....... Your two "loud mouth" (Joy and Star) bash the President everyday, so why can't there be two Republicans on The View. Is this TV station liberal or watch?

They need some new personalities on this show. Personaly, Meredith was my favorite; Joy gets old, Starr-yuk; and Elizabeth is at least fresh. I'm OK with Heaton; could be interesting.

If Patricia Heaton comes to the View I will NEVER watch again. I was so sick of her on those grocery store commercials I was ready to throw up. I am not a fan of Elizabeth either as she is starting to get on my nerves.

If ya ask me...I think Star is a self absorbed waste of life...Elizabeth is such a poly anna with the most childish views on life I've ever heard...She belongs in Oz...with Dorothy. Joy is a little harsh but brings some balance...Get rid of Star for sure...Elizabeth next...

Pat would be great - especially if she socks Star. She's bubbly and pretty - maybe Star would be better off somewhere else!

I agree on replacing Elizabeth. I can understand why she didn't survive on Survivor. She is definately a lightweight. Star is annoying and full of herself.Joy is a hoot and as real today as she was from the first show. I do believe Meredith's timing is perfect.
In my area The View is opposite Ellen...and is getting a run for its money.
I watch Ellen now. It's funny and non-judgemental, and Ellen is a peach!
