Yea, it got me though too. I was at a friends house who has TiVo and I really have no idea what I'm doing when I'm away from my normal cable-branded dvr.

I fell for it, too. I heard the little bloop-bloop and went "WTF?" and started hunting for the remote. They timed it nicely, so that it was up long enough for me to fall for it, but not so long that I started actually hitting buttons once I got my hands on the remote.

They got me for a second too. I think the bloops evoke a Pavlovian response from me to do something with the Tivo. I even turned them off awhile ago!
